Panasonic Eco Relay 2026

Panasonic reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and community stewardship through the successful implementation of the Panasonic Eco Relay 2026 programme, held on 8 August 2026 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The event brought together 318 employee volunteers who participated in a large-scale tree planting and town cleaning initiative, demonstrating Panasonic's dedication to creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment for future generations.

The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and supported by Panasonic's sponsorship of RM30,000 towards the environmental initiative. The event was honoured by the presence of the Secretary of the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA), Tuan Haji Madiyan Bin Haji Baweh, together with Mr. Shinichi Hosone, Managing Director of Panasonic Management Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PMAM); Mr. Hidekazu Ennouji, Managing Director of Panasonic AVC Networks Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PSNM); and Mr. Lee Chee Hian, Managing Director of Panasonic Industrial Devices Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PIDMY). The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both the public and private sectors towards environmental conservation and community well-being.

During the event, volunteers collectively planted 4,061 trees and carried out cleaning activities in designated public areas. These efforts contributed to the enhancement of urban green spaces while fostering greater environmental awareness and responsibility among employees.

The Panasonic Eco Relay initiative forms part of Panasonic's ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles. By encouraging employee participation in meaningful environmental and community initiatives, Panasonic continues to create positive social impact while supporting sustainable development. Through collaborative efforts such as this partnership with MBSA, Panasonic aims to inspire collective action towards building healthier, greener, and more resilient communities for future generations.
