It is said that there are 1.32 billion people in the world who do not have access to electricity.
Panasonic has the technology to provide light to such people - with its solar cell powered lanterns. The lack of access to electricity causes a wide-range of social issues in many part of the world. By donating solar lanterns to NPOs/NGOs working to provide education, medical care, and support so that people may become more independent, Panasonic hopes to help resolve these issues. Small lanterns are helping light the way to a brighter future.
This is a short documentary about three Panasonic employees, who discovered something wonderful through the donation of solar lanterns. Latest updates about the 100 Thousand Solar Lantern Project is available on the following website.
