Your Panasonic refrigerator keeps food fresh and convenient from day one.
This guide shows how to adjust Prime Fresh, Prime Fresh+ and Prime Freeze to suit your daily needs.
Why Adjust the Settings?
The default temperature settings are optimised for everyday use, but fine-tuning them can bring real advantages:

Keep meat and fish fresh without fully freezing them.

Save prep time by reducing the need for defrosting.

Make the most of these functions so your fridge supports your daily life better.

Mode Settings and Use Cases
Prime Fresh is a flexible zone for everyday use.
By changing the temperature, you can use it either as a soft-freezing drawer or as extra chilled fridge space.

How to Set Prime Fresh Step by Step
On the operation panel, press the icon for Prime Fresh 1 or Prime Fresh 2. The current temperature for that drawer appears on the LED display.

Press the same icon again to enter setting mode – the LED will start flashing. This means you can now change the temperature for that drawer.

Press the icon repeatedly to move through the available temperatures (−5 °C to +4 °C). Stop when −3 °C is shown for raw meat and fish, or choose 0–+2 °C if you want to use it as extra chilled fridge space. Wait about 5 seconds, or press another button – the new setting will be saved automatically. If you want a different setting for the other Prime Fresh drawer, repeat Steps 1–3.

When you want stronger cooling for a while – for example after a big grocery run – press and hold the Prime Fresh 1 or Prime Fresh 2 icon for 3 seconds. The Prime Fresh+ indicator light will turn on and the drawer will cool more quickly for a limited time. To stop Prime Fresh+ immediately, press and hold the same icon again for 3 seconds until the light turns off.

Mode Settings and Use Cases
Prime Freeze is your go-to function for quick freezing or chilling.
It helps maintain the taste, texture and colour of food by minimising ice crystal formation.
To get the most out of Prime Freeze, try to keep this drawer in active use – open it daily, move items in and out,
and use it as a “working” space rather than a place to leave food for months.

How to Set Prime Freeze Step by Step
On the operation panel, press the Prime Freeze button or icon. Press it repeatedly to choose the mode you need: Rapid Freezing, Quick Cooling or Cool Down. Check that the selected mode and time (for example, 45 min / 60 min / 10 min / 5 min) are shown on the display.

Once the desired mode is selected, leave the panel as it is or press the confirmation button (if available). Prime Freeze will start automatically and run for the set duration. You can continue using the fridge as normal while the mode is active.

Frequently Asked Questions
For everyday use, the default settings are fine. However, after bulk-buying meat or seafood or during busy periods when you cook more in advance, it’s helpful to check how your food is keeping and adjust the settings if needed.
The recommended temperature is −3 °C. At −3 °C, raw meat and fish do not freeze solid. They are not just chilled but slightly frozen, which helps keep their flavour and texture and makes them easy to cut and cook.
First, please check the temperature setting. If it is set higher than −1 °C, that range works more like refrigeration than soft freezing. For proper soft freezing, set the temperature to −3 °C.
Yes. With a Wi-Fi connection, you can control Prime Freeze from the MyPanasonic+. You can adjust the duration of the modes, but not the temperature itself.
No. When Prime Fresh+ is on, Quick Freezing, Quick Ice Making and Prime Freeze are temporarily stopped. They resume after Prime Fresh+ ends.
