Smoother, Smarter, Made in Japan: Panasonic Introduces the Enhanced Series 900 5-Blade Shaver
Engineered for quality performance, the latest improvements to Panasonic’s men’s care lineup highlight cutting-edge Japanese craftmanship with more breakthroughs on the horizon.
- Featuring newly enhanced finishing blades that improve cutting efficiency by up to 50%1, the Series 900 combines five Japanese stainless-steel blades with a mag-lev powered linear motor delivering 70,000 cutting actions per minute for a smoother, more comfortable shave.
- The advanced Beard Sensor+ Technology, built into all Panasonic 5-blade and 6-blade shavers, boosts power when needed to tackle even the densest beard hair, effortlessly creating a uniform finish.
- Coming late 2026: The Series 900 Ultimate is to become Panasonic’s new high-end 6-blade flagship model, pushing grooming innovation even further.
Series 900: ES-LV580 and ES-LV590 – setting a new standard
Introducing the refreshed Series 900, Panasonic’s premium 5-blade shaver designed in pursuit of being gentle on skin without compromising on performance. Powered by a cutting-edge mag-lev linear motor delivering 70,000 cross-cutting movements per minute, the Series 900 provides a precise, close shave that stays consistent - even as the battery runs low.
Utilising the legacy of Japanese Samurai sword-making in its inspiration, the Series 900 shavers embody Panasonic’s expertise in high-performance grooming. The stainless-steel blade system offers three upgraded, diagonally-orientated Finishing Blades for a close-to-the-root shave, and now with two Thick Stubble Trimmer Blades, the shaver provides 50% greater cutting efficiency1. By working in unison at 30°, these durable blades tackle thick stubble for a gentle shave in every pass2, while maintaining a shave as close as day one for up to five years3.
Kate Holden, UK Trichologist (RIT) says, “Repeated irritation from poor shaving techniques or unsuitable tools can compromise the skin barrier and affect follicle health. Panasonic’s men’s shaver range tackles these challenges with precision engineering, sensor technology and skin-conscious design.“
Designed to help you achieve your desired look, the Series 900 comes with a Flexible Shaver Head to move with the contours of your jaw and face. Meanwhile, Beard Sensor+ Technology intelligently adjusts power in real time, increasing or reducing cutting force where hair density varies, for a personalised shave every time. It can be used wet or dry, utilises USB charging (Type-C) and comes with hard case for a seamless, easy fit into your routine – anywhere, anytime.
The Series 900 will be available in silver from June 2026 (ES-LV580 without cleaning station and ES-LV590 with cleaning station).
Series 900 Ultimate: ES-L690 – responsive and refined shaving
A new era of Panasonic 6-blade shavers is yet to debut in late 2026. The Series 900 Ultimate is engineered for prestige performance, sleek design and unique, intuitive features to further enhance user experience.
The Series 900 Ultimate (ES-L690) will be available from December 2026 - more information coming soon.
