Situated in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, lies a "Little Hue“, that echoes the peace and serenity of the Song Huong- Perfume River and Mount Ngu Binh.
This place, none other than Nam Giao restaurant , serves not just the exotic cuisine of Hue but pledges to recreate a parallel of the ultimate experience of being in Hue itself.
With specialty dishes such as Banh Khoai (a savory rice flour pancake with shrimps) and Bun Bo Hue (zesty beef rice noodle), one can indulge in the culinary senses and burst of flavors Hue food has to offer.
Hue Cuisine is Vietnam's haute cuisine, which was created during the lavish rule of emperor Tu Doc. During his rule, cooks were given the order to create works of art on a plate where food is both delicious and visually stunning. Ever since, the culinary skills have been passed down the generations.
Within the nostalgic settings of Nam Giao, one can experience the culinary delights enjoyed by the Royals as well as hearty street dishes that are well-liked and enjoyed by plenty, along the streets of the bustling city.
Nam Giao restaurant is well-known for serving authentic Hue food. Before my visit here today, I had no idea Nam Giao served such delicious Hue food!
I learned from the manager that Hue cuisine is food for the emperor and with his kind hospitality, I felt very much like a princess too.
Nam Giao with its rustic atmosphere, gave me a feeling of nature and home, all in one place. The flowers and decor were pretty too.
The dishes that were recommended to me such as Va Tron (Fig Salad), Bun Bo Hue (Hue Spicy Beef Soup Noodle) and Banh Uot Thit Nuong (Grilled Beef Roll), they were really impressive from presentation to taste.
I particularly liked the Bun Bo Hue, and though I have tried other Bun Bo else where, there is nothing quite like this one. I will definitely bring my friends and family here next time!
This is Nam Giao, one of the best Hue dishes I have tasted!
Va Tron (Fig Salad) fills me up and keeps me healthy!
Another interesting dish: Banh Beo Tom Tuoi.
Friendly staff at Nam Giao, made me feel like a princess from the Royal family.

L'USINE is quite an unique space that accommodates the different needs of the contemporary Vietnamese crowd today.
This conceptual space is not only a retail haven but also has a cafe and art gallery, all housed within the premises of the one-time colonial-era garment factory.
With its furniture and decor, reminiscing the mood and colors of Paris, this space gives its customers in Vietnam something to be nostalgic about. It is one of the most favorite hang out spots in the heart of Saigon, especially popular with the modern ladies.
Displaying the affluence of Ho Chi Minh City, L'USINE carries a range of fashion labels and collections, especially supporting emerging local talents, as well as established designers from abroad.
Not only clothes, but also from bags to accessories, L'USINE offers many choices for customers to mix and match, and create a timeless style that suits each individual.
Also, L'USINE stocks up many decorative household items and fancy goods, that definitely caters to the much sought-after lifestyle in present-time Vietnam.
Narrow walkway, old stairs. I didn't even think such a nice place existed behind it. They have this really great concept of having a cafe'-style fashion store where customers, like me, can grab a bite and continue to shop after!
Jap, the owner of L'USINE as well as designer of some of the collections in L'USINE, was really nice to chat with me and picked out a few outfits that would suit my style.
I really love the concept, space, decor, actually EVERYTHING, about L'USINE. Every bit of the store shouts out 'cool' and it is really a place where my friends and I would like to hang out after a day at work or during the weekends to relax.
At L'USINE, it is not just about shopping or eating, it's about being inspired and trying a more creative way of living!
L'USINE is a retail space that houses not just local and foreign fashion labels but lifestyle items as well.
I picked out the outfits made with latest cutting and design.
First outfit that Jap picked out for me. This was my favorite!
I wanted to stay, but had to say goodbye. I had a great time!

A salon full of customers who are willing to wait in line for their hair, face and nails to be made over, best attests the popularity and artistry of one of the leading salons in Ho Chi Minh City- Concept Coiffure.
Located in the midst of the area with many designer furniture boutiques, wine shops, and delicatessen stores, Concept Coiffure with its sophisticated design, adds to the calm and soothing ambience of the area.
Stepping indoors, lies an interior, minimally and artistically designed to blend both modern and personalized features.
Concept Coiffure is a salon that offers a broad range of top-to-toe services for customers of all ages, even kids. This salon is frequently visited by locals as well as expatriates, being famous especially for its hair treatments and styling.
Providing the best solution to Vietnam's dry and hot weather, this is the best place to be, if you're looking to get your dream hair color, ideal skin care, or a latest beauty makeover. You can also relax and rejuvenate by having a nail care or body therapy as well.
Definitely a one-stop beauty shop that caters to all your beauty and styling needs!
Before today, I have only heard about Concept Coiffure. So when I first stepped into the salon, I was warmly greeted and invited into their premises, with its beautiful atmosphere.
Sandrine, the owner of Concept Coiffure, told me that the concept of this salon is to provide a modern space that caters to the beauty and styling needs of both adults and even kids.
I was there for hair treatment , so she took a look at my hair and suggested to me the deep root treatment, since my hair was dry with damaged ends. I felt so well taken care of when Sandrine and her hair experts gave my hair a good wash, massage and treatment, leaving my hair shiny and new!
I think the treatment will be good for Vietnamese ladies, since our weather here is dry and hot. When I was there, I also noticed that Concept Coiffure is really popular because customers came in one after another and it was really busy.
Concept Coiffure also provides a wide range of other services such as nail care, skin care and even hydrotherapy in their outdoor pool. It's really impressive!
They have an outdoor pool for hydrotherapy sessions. How cool that sounds!
Hair experts giving my hair a wash and massage.
Having the treatment, can't wait to see my hair after!
Sandrine and her wonderful staff who took care of me!

Rosa Blanca is really a good place for women to take care of their body and spirit. I would definitely return!
This is one of the massage and aroma therapy rooms. Clean and calming.
Fresh herbs used in their treatments, to detox and purify your body.
The massage therapist with her expert skills made my skin feel smoother.
