NANOE™ X TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS IN PANASONIC REFRIGERATOR

Nanoe™ X is an innovative technology to protect maximum human health. This is Panasonic's exclusive technology, was researched and developed since 1997 and applied on many of its consumer electronic products in various countries, including refrigerator category.

Nanoe™ X generates hydroxyl radicals contained in water. Hydroxyl radicals have properties that deactivate bacteria with various proven benefits. Nanoe™ X can spread everywhere even in narrow spaces, disperses and penetrates spaces in every corner of the refrigerator to effectively work against & inhibite 99,99% of bacteria, help pesticide reduction up to 4.7 times and effectively reduce odours, keeping food fresh and clean.

All of the above Nanoe™ X effectiveness was already certified, and following test results were conducted under controlled laboratory conditions: 

1. Nanoe™ X help inhibiting 99.99% of bacteria to keep the inside of refrigerator hygienic.

a. Reference test: Testing the effect of Nanoe™ X against Staphylococcus aureus.

c. Method:
Releasing bacteria (1 type) in a 400 L chamber, the number of bacteria in collected sample were counted.

With nanoe™ X, after 50mins, number of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria reduced from 1,9mils to 8 only, equivalent to 99.99%

2. Nanoe™ X help pesicide reduction up to 4.7 times:

1) Reference test: Nanoe™ X radiated throughout the refrigerator breaks down pesticide. A simple rinse in water after nanoe™ X storage reduces up to 4.7 times more pesticide than a water rinse alone.

• Test Conditions: In a 400 L square box, temperature of 5°C, humidity of over 70%, with Nanoe™ X repeatedly ON for 20 min/OFF for 40 min.

a. Test results: After simple wash
① Diniconazole reduced by 77.7% with nanoe™ X, 44.4% without nanoe™ X.
② Azoxystrobin reduced by 59.3% with nanoe™ X, 12.5% without nanoe™ X.

The results show that:
① Diniconazole by exposing Nanoe™ X: Approximately 1.75 times reduction.
② Azoxystrobin: Approximately 4.74 times reduction

3. Nanoe™ X eliminates the odors of food to prevent them spreading

a. Reference test: Hydroxyl radicals of nanoe™ break down odorous substance for deodorization.

Object: Verification using 6-scale odor intensity index

② Method:
• Trimethylamine on the bleached cloth was left inside 400L box for 8 hours in an environment with and without nanoe™ X.
• Odor intensity was measured by 16 panels
