Panasonic continues to be recognized as Top Sustainable Enterprises

Ho Chi Minh, 10 August 2022 – Panasonic Vietnam was presented in Top 50 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam by Nhip cau Dau tu magazine for the first year, once again affirming the efforts of the Japanese brand towards the vision for prosperity and sustainable development in Vietnam.

In recent years, Panasonic has been continuously honored in prestigious awards of the government and professional organizations, press agencies, especially for the contributions to sustainable development, environmental protection, fields of business activities including business production, technology development, implementation of corporate social responsibility ...

From 2017, Panasonic has declared the environmental vision, and especially once again reaffirmed the commitment to “Panasonic Green Impact” earlier this year, with specific and impressive numbers: achieving carbon neutrality in Panasonic's member companies globally by 2030 and contribute to reducing more than 300 million tons of CO2, or about 1% of the current global emissions of 33 billion tons by 2050. Panasonic also offers a vision of Wellness in Vietnam for the next 50 years, becoming a company providing comprehensive health solutions, for a healthy and sustainable society.

Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises Award 2022 was organized for the first time by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine with the aims of contributing to promoting trend of sustainable development, spreading far and wide in Vietnamese business community and society. The evaluation criteria include Stable growth rate, Sustainable corporate culture, Corporate governance, Environmental protection and Social responsibility.

The program has attracted the participation of many businesses in Vietnam, including FDI, listed Vietnamese enterprises and unlisted enterprises. The evaluation and voting process is carried out by an Appraisal Council consisting of reputable and highly specialized experts and organizations such as HSBC Bank, Research Institute for Circular Economy Development, Deloitte Vietnam, and other business experts in economic and business from Harvard University… to ensure objectivity and science in the assessment.

Panasonic is among 20 FDI enterprises participating in the list of 50 selected enterprises.

Some typical awards Panasonic has been honored in recent years:
- 3 times received Vietnam Environment Award awarded by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for the years 2011, 2017 and 2021.
- Honored in the Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in 2021 announced by the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry VCCI.
- Award "Best Energy Efficiency" certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2020 and 2021.
- Vote for the award "Refrigerator with the most effective sterilization technology" at the Tech Award 2020 organized by VnExpress.
