Terms and Conditions for the Panasonic
“Weekly Giveaway” Promotion

The name of the Promotion is “Weekly Giveaway”.
The Promotion commences 1 October 2017 and ends 31 December 2017 in South Africa.

● Any person participating in this promotion (“Promotion”) does so on acceptance of these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”).
● Panasonic (Pty) Ltd (“Panasonic”), and its subsidiaries as well as any person who directly or indirectly promotes, sponsors, organises, or conducts this promotional competition as contracted to Panasonic (Pty) Ltd are collectively referred to as the “Promoters” in respect of the Promotion for purposes of these Terms and Conditions.
● The Promotion will run until 31 December 2017 after which date the Promotion will automatically lapse and no further entries will be accepted.
● This Promotion is open to all persons of the age 18 years or older and residents of South Africa at the time of entry, except the employees and their immediate families of the Promoters, Promoters’ advertising and promotion agencies, associated companies, and outlet owners and staff.
● Winners will need to produce their ID book to validate that they are over the age of 18.
● Winners will also need to have valid bank accounts.
● Proof of purchase of the Panasonic product will have to be produced in order to verify a prize being given away.

● The Reward is one cash prize weekly during the promotional period.
● The value of the Reward will be as follows:
● South Africa: R10,000 (Rands)
● From 1 October 2017 – 31 December 2017 there will be one random draw and only one winner chosen weekly from South Africa.
● Rewards are non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
● Rewards cannot be exchanged for an alternative Reward and no negotiations will be entered into.
● Winners shall be notified via telephone and/or email. Participants must therefore ensure that the Promoters have their correct, updated details.
● The Reward will be paid directly into the winner’s bank account within 3 weeks of receiving a phone call to validate their entry and their confirmation letter.
● The Promoters reserve the right to replace the offer with one of equal or greater value.

Promotion Entries
● In order to enter the Promotion, consumers must purchase any Panasonic Appliance from a participating store during the promotional period, valued at R1000.00 or above.
● The customer must then dial [SMS number], and follow the prompts to enter.
● The cost of the USSD line is R0.60 per 60 seconds. Incorrect and/or incomplete entries will be billed.
● No entries by post or any other form will be accepted.
● Only one entry per Panasonic appliance purchase is allowed.
● Till slips must be retained for proof of purchase.
● Only one entry per CLI is permitted.
● If participants have bought more than one Panasonic appliance during the competition period, and wish to enter more than once, they may phone Kyle Singh on ( number ) to get their phone number unlocked for further entries. This will only be done upon proof of more than one legitimate purchase.
● The consumer’s entry will be withdrawn if any goods purchased in connection with the Promotion are returned by the consumer before the competition entry data file is extracted for purposes of doing the draw.
● Winners will be drawn at random weekly from all valid entries received each day.
● Winners will be contacted on the first working day following the random draw.
● Winners will need to provide their proof of purchase, correct banking details, and a copy of their ID in order to redeem the cash prize.

General terms
Without detracting in any way from the Promotion Rules, the following general provisions shall be applicable to these Rules.
● The Promoters of this Promotion will interpret the Rules in their sole discretion and reserve the right to amend the Rules at any time in accordance with the provisions contained in these Rules.
● By entering and participating in the Promotion, you agree that the Promoters may collect and process your personal information for purposes of this Promotion and you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
● The Promoters reserve the right to publish the name(s) and/or photograph(s) of the Winners’ details on its website at http://www.panasonic.com/za/ which you hereby consent to
● The Promoters, their directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by them or any supplier of goods and services in connection with this Promotion and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners or associates are not eligible to participate in or enter this Promotion.
● In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Promoters will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. In this regard and for further clarity, the
● Promoters shall be entitled to deal with such disputes (or any failure by entrants to follow the rules) in their sole discretion, including that the Promoters shall be entitled, in addition to any other rights which the Promoters may have in terms of these rules, to immediately disqualify entrants from this Promotion. By entering the Promotion and/or accepting any Reward, the entrants, users and/or winners hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless the Promoters (including their subsidiaries, holding companies and affiliates), their directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors (the “Promoters parties”) from and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss, damage, expense, claim or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Promotion, and/or the use, acceptance or possession of a Reward, and/or participation (or non-participation) in a Reward -related activity.
● The Promotion closes at 23:59 on 31 December 2017.
● The Promoter will not be held liable for any harm or consequential loss as a result of use of the prize.
● If the winner/s fail/s to comply with any of these rules or the terms of acceptance of the Reward/s, or if the winner/s unreasonably refuse/s to sign the winner/s declaration and prize acceptance form, the winner/s will be disqualified and will forfeit the Reward.
● The right of admission into the competition rests solely with the Promoters.
● The value of the consumer’s purchase of any Panasonic Appliance from a participating store during the promotional period, the value of which must be R1000.00 or above, (i) is the price usually or ordinarily paid for such or similar goods without the opportunity of taking part in a promotional competition (ii) is not increased by the opportunity to participate in that promotional competition (iii) is the only consideration payable for those goods or services and includes consideration for the right to compete;
● Entries which contain errors or incomplete/incorrect information will be considered invalid and excluded from the draw
● Not all entrants are guaranteed winners however should a customer be deemed a winner, they will be notified and contacted to verify their purchase with proof of payment in the form of the till slip received when purchasing the Panasonic appliance. They will also need to supply a copy of their ID document and correct bank account details.
● In the event that the winner/s cannot be contacted via their provided telephone or email details within 1 working day of being drawn as a winner (unless this day falls on a weekend or public holiday), the Promoters reserve the right to select another entrant as a winner.
● Entrants who, in the Promoters’ sole determination, act unlawfully, fraudulently, in breach of these Rules or otherwise dishonestly may be disqualified from participating in the Promotion and shall not be eligible to win any Reward.
● Additional to any other rights contained in the Promotion rules, the Promoters reserve the right to terminate the Promotion at any time with immediate effect. If this is the case, the Promoters will provide a notice on the website and it shall be the responsibility of entrants to review such website in this respect. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights, which they may have against any of the organiser parties and acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature against the organiser parties.
● The Promoters are not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted. Any Reward is accepted by a winner at his/her own risk and the Promoters are not liable, at any time, for any defect in the Reward.
● The duration of this Promotion may also be extended or curtailed at the sole discretion of the Promoters. If this is the case, the Promoters will provide notice of this on the website.

Exclusions and other important terms
● Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the Promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“CPA”).By entering the Programme in accordance with its terms, Participants acknowledge that the Programme will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the CPA and the Lotteries Act 57 of 1997 as read with the Regulations Regarding Promotional Competitions.
● Qualifying participants undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable the Promoters to comply with their obligations under the CPA including, but not limited to providing such personal information as may be required in order to facilitate handing over the reward
● These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

2. Repair policy and process
a) The consumer protection act (CPA) implied warranty is applicable for the first 6 months from the end user date of purchase. Thereafter while the product is still under warranty the warranty process will be at Panasonics discretion.
b) Should a Panasonic product become defective during the warranty period the customer must please contact Panasonic South Africa on telephone number 0860 000 302 or via email using email address support@za.panasonic.com.
c) The customers proof of purchase (POP) is required to affect an in warranty repair, credit or exchange.
d) Panasonic SA and their accredited service centers will ensure that all repairs both in and out of guarantee are carried out quickly and efficiently with minimum aggravation to the customer.
e) Service or repairs required due to manufacturing defects will be charged to the account of Panasonic SA in accordance with the Panasonic SA official Warranty policy.
f) All faults not due to manufacturing defects will be for the customer’s account. This includes misuse, abuse, acts of God, insect and/or rodent infestation, severe atmospheric conditions, etc.
g) Large white appliances and TV’s 42 inches and above will be repaired on site wherever possible within a 30 Km radius of the closest authorised service centre (ASC). Large products outside of this radius will be collected for repairs.
h) All other products must be taken directly to a Panasonic ASC.

3. Out of box failures
a) The consumer protection act (CPA) implied warranty is applicable for the first 6 months from the end user date of purchase. Thereafter while the product is still under warranty the warranty process will be at Panasonics discretion.
b) Should a Panasonic product be defective when initially removed from the box for the first time after purchase, the customer must please contact Panasonic South Africa on telephone number 0860 000 302 or via email using email address support@za.panasonic.com
c) The customers proof of purchase (POP) is required to affect an in warranty credit or exchange for out of box failures.
d) The defective product being returned for credit/exchange must be boxed and correctly packaged with all accessories including remotes, cables, manuals, chargers and batteries, etc.
e) The credit or exchange will only be issued to the customer when Panasonic have the complete defective product in Panasonics possession.
