The new 14.1-megapixel LUMIX DMC-F5 incorporates a 28mm wide-angle, 5x optical zoom lens. Running on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the slim, stylish DMC-F5 offers a level of operation that is easy enough even for beginners.




Stylish Design and
AC / USB Battery Charging

The DMC-F5 complies with USB power charging in addition to the conventional AC power supply. The efficient, rechargeable lithium-ion battery lets you take approx. 250 shots on a single battery charge*.

5x Optical Zoom with 28mm Wide-angle Lens

The 28mm wide-angle lens* with 5x optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 28-140mm). The 28mm wide-angle lens lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures and scenes with dynamic width and rich perspective, even from short distances.

Panorama Shot

The Panorama Shot Mode in the Scene Mode makes it possible to shoot a horizontal / vertical panoramic image with consequent shots taken by overlaying the previous image.

Auto Scene Selector

The Auto Scene Selector*¹ senses the ambient conditions and automatically selects any of the Scenery, Portrait, Macro, Night Portrait*², Night Scenery or Sunset Mode accordingly.

*1 With some subject and shooting conditions, it is just not possible to judge the best shooting details. When this happens, it is recommended that you shoot with the Scene Mode that best suits your purpose.
*2 In the Auto Scene Selector, the Night Portrait is not identified when the flash is turned off.

720p HD Video Recording

You can record HD video in Motion JPEG format (1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps). Recording motion image can be started with a press of an independent motion picture button, which is extremely convenient for you to switch photo / video shooting instantly.
