Capture Professional Quality Video with the DC-BGH1
10.2MP Live MOS Sensor with Dual Native ISO Technology
Based on the Micro Four Thirds™ system standard and featuring a 10.2MP Live MOS sensor, the LUMIX BGH1 delivers professional-level image quality. The image sensor features the Dual Native ISO technology developed for Panasonic VariCam professional cinema cameras, leveraging a dual-base ISO setting to minimize noise and maximize image quality from low to high sensitivity. The sensor partnered with the Venus Engine delivers a maximum ISO 51200 / Extended ISO 204800 for minimal noise at high sensitivity and beautiful rendition of dark areas in the frame, while the low pass filter effectively suppresses moiré. The LUMIX BGH1 meets the demand for professional low-light videography.

Wide Dynamic Range of 13 Stops with V-Log L
V-Log L comes preinstalled for 13 stops of dynamic range. Users will enjoy impressively accurate color reproduction with subtle gradations from dark areas to highlights. Since V-Log L has the same V-Gamut characteristics as V-Log, LUTs used with V-Log can be used in color grading. And footage from VariCam series cameras can be seamlessly included in the edit.
Multiple Recording Modes
The LUMIX BGH1 offers the multiple recording modes utilized for cinema, broadcasting, and other professional applications. In addition to C4K/4K 60p/50p 4:2:0 10-bit and C4K/4K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:2 10-bit ALL-Intra 400Mbps recording, anamorphic 4K recording is supported, and unlimited recording is offered on all settings. This camera delivers all the quality, flexibility, and creative options required in the widest possible range of video production environments.
C4K/4K 60p 10-bit Internal/External Simultaneous Recording
10-bit video recording capability provides robust color profiles for an advanced post-production workflow. The LUMIX BGH1 offers simultaneous C4K/4K 60p/50p 4:2:0 10-bit internal recording and C4K/4K 60p/50p 4:2:2 10-bit live output for external recording via HDMI. This compact, lightweight camera offers all the quality you would expect from a high-end digital cinema camera.
Anamorphic Recording
4K anamorphic video is captured in the 4:3 aspect ratio. Designed to accommodate anamorphic lenses in a wide range of magnification rates, including 1.3x, 1.33x, 1.5x, 1.8x, and 2.0x, the Anamorphic Desqueeze Display function means you can shoot while confirming the cinemascope-size image on an external monitor.*
* Playback only with HDMI output; both playback and recording with SDI output.
Max. 10x Slow Motion and Max. 30x Quick Motion
VFR (variable frame rate) functionality supports both overcranking and undercranking. Users have access to 2.5x slow (24p/60 fps) in C4K/4K and 10x super-slow (24p/240 fps) in FHD.* This feature is highly useful in creating dramatic slow-motion footage and capturing movement not clearly visible to the naked eye. It is also possible to capture sequences of footage to show the accelerated passing of time by up to 30x normal speed (60p/2 fps).
* Angle of view narrows if you select a frame rate of 201 fps or higher.
4K HDR Video
In all the 10-bit recording modes, you can shoot HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) format for HDR footage. When the content is replayed on HDR-compatible devices, users will enjoy a video experience with ultra-fine gradations from light-to-dark and an incredible dynamic range.
Autofocus Featuring AI Technology
Panasonic’s advanced control technology encompasses sensor, engine, and LUMIX lenses helps to optimize optical and focusing performance. The sensor and lens communicate at high speed, when combined with the DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology to identify and lock onto your subject. Deep learning technology makes possible the recognition of human faces, eyes, heads, and bodies, as well as common animals (dogs, cats and birds). Moreover, human head detection is possible thanks to a new and improved subject recognition algorithm. The camera can easily distinguish and track human heads, even when they are tilted, small in the frame, or in motion.
