Air conditioners with nanoe™ X technology inhibit odours¹ and viruses²,
freshening air and bringing smiles to children's faces.
Flu season can’t slow children down
At Yanagi Olive Nursery School in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, children grow vegetables in the garden, practice cooking, try hula dancing, study English, learn about nutrition, and enjoy many other experiences. We pay close attention to air quality. In addition to a hypochlorite water generator and mist emitter, we have installed air conditioners that feature nanoe™ X. Ever since, viruses seem less prevalent, even during peak flu season. I feel that this is one of the key advantages of nanoe™ X.
Quietly controlling temperature for a nice nap
During our daily nap time, it is especially important to keep room temperatures at a comfortable level so children can get the rest they need. Our indoor units efficiently circulate air throughout the space, so most children can sleep with just a thin cotton blanket over them year round. The air conditioners with nanoe™ X technology are so quiet that one can barely hear them. This also contributes to peaceful rest.
Untroubled by odours from lunches and nappy changes
Food odours during lunchtime, not to mention nappy changes, call for frequent ventilation. Previously, we had to open windows wide to let in fresh air. Now, with nanoe™ X keeping the air clean, ventilation is a matter of choice, and room temperatures can be kept constant. This is a welcome change for our staff.
Pollen allergy symptoms are rare, even during pollen season
One of our teachers suffers from severe pollen allergies and can’t stop sneezing while outdoors. Inside our building, however, the symptoms become barely noticeable, only to return again after school. This seems a testament to the positive effect of our air conditioners with nanoe™ X technology.

1Deodorising effects on cigarette smoke odour, pet odour, BBQ odour, damp odour, and perspiration odour. Testing organisation: Panasonic Product Analysis Center. Testing method: Verified using the 6-level odour intensity indication method in an approximately 23㎥-sized test chamber. Deodorisation method: nanoe™ released. Target odour: Surface-adhered cigarette smoke odour. Test result: Odour intensity reduced by 1.2 levels in 2 hours. (BAA33-130125-D01). Testing organisation: Panasonic Corporation Product Analysis Center. Testing method: Exposure to hydroxyl radicals contained in water for 15 minutes in a 250 L chamber. Target odour: Surface-attached refuse odour. Test result: Deodorising effect verified in 15 minutes. Testing organisation: Odour and Aroma Design Course, Department of Integrated Informatics, Faculty of Informatics, Daido University. Test method: The device was operated for about 1 week in a pet shop gauge room (13 pets on average) in an approximately 27㎥-sized test chamber, and verify by odour concentration. Deodorisation / inhibition method: nanoe™ released (2 units). Target odour: Surface-adhered pet odour. Test result: Approximately 33.9% inhibition. Testing organisation: Odour and Aroma Design Course, Department of Integrated Informatics, Faculty of Informatics, Daido University . Testing method: Use of an approximately 23㎥-sized test chamber. Verified using the 6-level odour intensity indication method in an approximately 23㎥-sized test chamber . Deodorisation method: nanoe™ released. Target odour: Simulated body odour of middle-aged and senior citizens (scalp odour) adhered to a pillow cover. Test result: Odour intensity reduced by 0.65 levels in 6 hours.
2Airborne viruses. Effective after 6 hours in an approximately 23㎥-sized test chamber. 2 Adhered viruses: Effective after 8 hours in an approximately 23㎥-sized test chamber.Testing organisation: Kitasato Research Center for Environmental Science. Testing method: The number of viruses was measured after direct exposure in an approximately 25 m3-sized airtight test chamber . Inhibition method: nanoe™ released. Target substance: airborne virus. Test result: Inhibited by at least 99.7% in 6 hours. (Kitasei 24_0300_1) (Test conducted with only one type of virus). Adhered virus. Testing organisation: Japan Food Research Laboratories. Testing method: Measured the virus infectivity titer adhered to a cloth in an approximately 23㎥-sized test chamber. Inhibition method: nanoe™ released. Target substance: Adhered virus. Test result: Inhibited by at least 99% in 8 hours. (No. 13001265005-01) Test report publication date: February 11, 2013 (Test conducted with only one type of virus).
