In light of Super Typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda) that struck the Philippines’ central region, Panasonic Group of Companies in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region will commit a total of approximately US$ 145,000 to support relief efforts. The donation, which comprises of in-kind contributions such as clothing and medicine, will be made via the Philippines government and various humanitarian organisations within the country.

1st October 2013, Singapore - Panasonic Industrial Devices Materials Singapore (PIDMSG) reinforces Panasonic’s overseas research and development function with the establishment of its R&D centre for electronic encapsulation materials for semiconductors. The centre is provisionally named the Electronic Materials South Asia R&D Centre.
