Nam Giao Restaurant

Address:  116, Suong Nguyet Anh, Phuang Ben Thanh, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Telephone:  +84 (0) 8 3925 9996

Opening:  Mon - Sun: 7:30am -10pm

Situated in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, lies a "Little Hue“, that echoes the peace and serenity of the Song Huong- Perfume River and Mount Ngu Binh.

This place, none other than Nam Giao restaurant , serves not just the exotic cuisine of Hue but pledges to recreate a parallel of the ultimate experience of being in Hue itself.

With specialty dishes such as Banh Khoai (a savory rice flour pancake with shrimps) and Bun Bo Hue (zesty beef rice noodle), one can indulge in the culinary senses and burst of flavors Hue food has to offer.

Hue Cuisine is Vietnam's haute cuisine, which was created during the lavish rule of emperor Tu Doc. During his rule, cooks were given the order to create works of art on a plate where food is both delicious and visually stunning. Ever since, the culinary skills have been passed down the generations.

Within the nostalgic settings of Nam Giao, one can experience the culinary delights enjoyed by the Royals as well as hearty street dishes that are well-liked and enjoyed by plenty, along the streets of the bustling city.

Nam Giao restaurant is well-known for serving authentic Hue food. Before my visit here today, I had no idea Nam Giao served such delicious Hue food!

I learned from the manager that Hue cuisine is food for the emperor and with his kind hospitality, I felt very much like a princess too.

Nam Giao with its rustic atmosphere, gave me a feeling of nature and home, all in one place. The flowers and decor were pretty too.

The dishes that were recommended to me such as Va Tron (Fig Salad), Bun Bo Hue (Hue Spicy Beef Soup Noodle) and Banh Uot Thit Nuong (Grilled Beef Roll), they were really impressive from presentation to taste.

I particularly liked the Bun Bo Hue, and though I have tried other Bun Bo else where, there is nothing quite like this one. I will definitely bring my friends and family here next time!

Narrow walkway, old stairs. I didn't even think such a nice place existed behind it. They have this really great concept of having a cafe'-style fashion store where customers, like me, can grab a bite and continue to shop after!

Jap, the owner of L'USINE as well as designer of some of the collections in L'USINE, was really nice to chat with me and picked out a few outfits that would suit my style.

I really love the concept, space, decor, actually EVERYTHING, about L'USINE. Every bit of the store shouts out 'cool' and it is really a place where my friends and I would like to hang out after a day at work or during the weekends to relax.

At L'USINE, it is not just about shopping or eating, it's about being inspired and trying a more creative way of living!

Before today, I have only heard about Concept Coiffure. So when I first stepped into the salon, I was warmly greeted and invited into their premises, with its beautiful atmosphere.

Sandrine, the owner of Concept Coiffure, told me that the concept of this salon is to provide a modern space that caters to the beauty and styling needs of both adults and even kids.

I was there for hair treatment , so she took a look at my hair and suggested to me the deep root treatment, since my hair was dry with damaged ends. I felt so well taken care of when Sandrine and her hair experts gave my hair a good wash, massage and treatment, leaving my hair shiny and new!

I think the treatment will be good for Vietnamese ladies, since our weather here is dry and hot. When I was there, I also noticed that Concept Coiffure is really popular because customers came in one after another and it was really busy.

Concept Coiffure also provides a wide range of other services such as nail care, skin care and even hydrotherapy in their outdoor pool. It's really impressive!

Rosa Blanca is a rare, beautiful and relaxing spot, in the middle of District One, where it is usually very busy.

Stepping indoors, away from the hot and crowded streets, I felt at ease almost immediately. From the greeting by the friendly staff to the kind advice from the manager about the treatments, I felt at ease like at home.

The simple and clean interior decor of the spa also made me feel like I have stepped into a paradise of peace and comfort.

I have heard before that Rosa Blanca is famous for their herbal treatments and skin care. I was so fortunate to have the chance to try their herbal sauna which totally loosened me up.

It was a warm sauna and the scent of the herbs were really refreshing. The body scrub I had after the sauna also left my skin feeling smooth. I felt like a whole new person!

Rosa Blanca is really a good place for women to take care of their body and spirit. I would definitely return!
