The Indian economy is seeing a radical shift since the last decade; growing at a fast pace and with its strong manufacturing base and growing services sector, it has become a great business destination. India is not anymore a part of our emerging market business but has been carved out as the number one priority market globally for Panasonic as it has been playing a vital role in our development and is rapidly emerging as a growth leader for the entire Asia-Pacific region. With investments on products, talent, marketing and manufacturing, we aim to strategically leverage our expertise and resources in India for the benefit of other emerging markets. India, South Asia, Middle East and Africa (ISAMEA), have been categorized as strategic regions and we see India on the top now from a business perspective.

As a part of our new business expansion plan, our aim is to drive growth from India and build deeper inroads into emerging economies. Aiming to overcome global-scale difficulties

First of all, I would like to express my most sincere condolences to the families and friends of all those who have passed away due to COVID-19, as well as express my heartfelt wishes of recovery for those who are now suffering from the disease. We at Panasonic truly hope that all people return to safe and secure lives as soon as possible, and, through our business and social activities, we are firmly resolved to make our utmost efforts to fulfil our responsibilities as a public entity of society.

The difficulties we face worldwide today will eventually change our society and daily life in a drastic manner. For instance, the restrictions on activities imposed by many countries are accelerating the dissemination of various digital technologies into our homes and offices, which has compelled us to drastically change our values. Moreover, how to maintain a good physical and mental condition in everyday life will become a greater challenge than ever before.
