The crunch of shortcrust and the tart sweetness of apples make this sweet a perennial favourite.
Enjoy the delicious smell of homemade tart as it wafts from your oven.
Apples are rich sources of both potassium and fibre.

Ingredients

Makes one 22cm-diameter tart

350 g Short Crust Pastry (Tart Dough)
250 g Apple Compote
1-2 small apples with peel Apple
50 ml Apricot Jam
Water (Small amount)

Steps

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

Line the flan dish with pastry. Pour in the apple compote and place sliced apples in a rpsette shape.

STEP 3

Place on the grill tray in the lower shelf position and cook on OVEN 200°C for 45minutes. Remove from dish and allow to cool (on a wire rack).

STEP 4

Mix 3 spoons of apricot jam and spoon of water in a bowl and cook on 1000W Microwave for 1 minute and brush over the apple.
