Tear and Share Picnic Bread

Ingredients

150 g whole wheat flour
250 g plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp caster sugar
200 g cheddar (coarsely grated)
2 tbsp sunflower seeds
100 g roasted peppers or sundried tomatoes in oil (drained)
25 g butter
300 ml milk
Steps
STEP 1
Preheat oven empty on Convection 200°C.
STEP 2
Place the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix together. Add 150g cheddar, 2 tbsp sunflower seeds, and the roasted peppers to the flour mixture.
STEP 3
Melt the butter on Medium Microwave for 20-30 seconds and combine with the milk. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix to a soft dough.
STEP 4
Divide into 8 pieces and place in the cake tin. Top with remaining cheddar and sunflower seeds. Place on enamel shelf and cook on Convection 200°C for 25-30 mins.
