Use your smartphone as an external monitor for your LUMIX camera. Check your shot list and storyboard on your smartphone while shooting. You can easily see which shots have already been taken at a glance, ensuring you never forget a key shot and allowing you to work through your shoot smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you can rate each file as 'OK / KEEP / BAD' as you complete each take.

External Monitor

Connect your smartphone to your LUMIX camera to use it as an external monitor while shooting, either by USB or wirelessly (by Wi-Fi) for stable monitoring. The buttons are laid out on one side of the screen for quick one-handed operation. You can swiftly change and adjust settings such as exposure compensation and white balance.

Mirroring

Live-view images from an external monitor (connected to your LUMIX camera by USB) can also be sent to another smartphone or tablet* wirelessly (by Wi-Fi). Production team located some distance from the camera can view the video being shot.
Additionally, turning on the “Director Monitor” function allows you to check clips, play back videos, and perform ratings on the mirrored monitor. This is especially useful for team-based video production, such as when there is a director working alongside the cameraperson.
