4/3-type Back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS image sensor

The premium compact camera LUMIX DC-L10 features the same 4/3-type back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS image sensor as the LUMIX DC-GH7, capturing every detail with 20.4-megapixel* effective resolution. Eliminating the low-pass filter enhances both sharpness and highlight control, delivering rich tonal gradation. High-speed sensor readout minimizes rolling shutter distortion during electronic shutter shooting, ensuring accurate rendering of moving subjects.

*Total sensor pixel count is 26.5-megapixel.

Multi-aspect feature

LUMIX DC-L10 incorporates the multi-aspect feature favored by photography enthusiasts. Using a sensor larger than the lens image circle, it maintains the same angle of view across 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 aspect ratios. 1:1 is also available.*

*When the aspect ratio is set to 1:1, the left and right edges are cropped, resulting in a narrower angle of view.

Latest-generation image processing engine

The latest-generation engine featuring L(2) Technology delivers outstanding high-speed processing, enabling exceptional image quality and autofocus performance. It rapidly processes high-volume data from the high-resolution sensor to render images with fine detail and natural texture. Faster processing and improved AF algorithms enhance detection performance, accurately recognizing subject movement and characteristics.

Dynamic Range Boost

Dynamic Range Boost combines two types of image data at each pixel based on the amount of light. One prioritizes saturation from the sensor’s low ISO circuit, while the other prioritizes low noise from the high ISO circuit. This delivers smooth gradation, rich tones, and a wide dynamic range with low noise and high saturation. For stills, especially RAW, it enhances shadow detail. In video, it delivers 13+ stops of dynamic range in V-Log, handling mixed indoor light and sunlight while preserving highlights and shadows.

･This function is applied automatically.
･Dynamic Range Boost is not activated when shooting video/slow & quick shooting at speeds higher than 60 fps, or with SH burst shooting.
･Dynamic Range Boost is not activated at shutter speeds slower than 1/15 during still image shooting, depending on the ISO.

5.6K 60p high-resolution and 4K 120p HFR video without cropping

LUMIX’s color science and rich tonal gradation also enable stunning video capture. It supports high-resolution 5.6K 60p video. In addition, the combination of a high-speed readout sensor and a powerful processing engine enables 4K 120p and FHD 240p recording without cropping.

Focus Stacking for extended depth of field

Focus Stacking combines multiple images taken at different focus distances to create an image with a wider depth of field*. It is particularly effective for close-up photography, as well as scenes where sharp detail is needed from foreground to background.

*The merging is performed after recording. Depending on the recording conditions and the number of pictures taken, image merging may take some time.

Phase Hybrid AF with 779 focus points

Phase Hybrid AF gives the LUMIX DC-L10 high-speed, high-precision autofocus with outstanding tracking performance, so you never miss a decisive moment. It quickly calculates subject distance and focuses across 779 AF points to capture fast-moving subjects.

Improved eye/face detection accuracy with advanced AI

LUMIX DC-L10 uses advanced AI technology to detect human eyes and faces, improving recognition performance. It performs especially well in challenging scenes, such as when a subject’s face is tilted or partially obscured, enabling more precise focus on the eyes and face. When paired with Tracking AF, it can also maintain focus on your chosen subject even when other people pass in front.

Real-time Recognition AF with Urban Sports support

LUMIX DC-L10 expands its subject recognition capabilities with support for Urban Sports, in addition to eyes, faces, and bodies. It maintains precise focus on your chosen subject even in dynamic scenes such as breakdancing, skateboarding, and parkour. In addition to people, you can select the recognition target from a variety of subjects, including animals, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, and trains.

･It may not be able to recognize all subjects as per the settings.
･The camera may sometimes recognize non-animal subjects as animals.

Up to 30 fps high-speed burst shooting

With the electronic shutter, the LUMIX DC-L10 delivers ultra-fast continuous shooting at approximately 30 fps. From dynamic urban sports to fast-moving cars and trains, you can capture every decisive moment with precision. The mechanical shutter also supports burst shooting at approximately 11 fps.
