Panasonic celebrates 8th anniversary of Technopark at Jhajjar; amongst the largest* producer of manual welding equipment in India

New Delhi, 12th December 2020: Panasonic India, a leading diversified technology company, today marks the 8th anniversary of its largest manufacturing facility – Technopark - situated at Jhajjar, Haryana. The company’s Panasonic Smart Factory Solution India (PSFSIN) division at the facility is now the largest* producer of manual welding equipment in India. The company has manufactured and sold thousands welding machines since its inception catering to the demand arising from automobiles, infrastructure, and oil & refinery sectors.

The Panasonic Smart Factory Solution India’s welding business has a significant market share in the automobile sector, which is the largest in the country. It is the preferred supplier to leading two wheeler and four wheeler companies amongst others. The company also has a prominent market share in the Infrastructure original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sector. The facility also offers smart manufacturing solutions propelled by the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT), industrial robots, and process automation in the manufacturing plants.

Panasonic’s Jhajjar facility was established on December 12, 2012. Along with the welding unit, it has a manufacturing capacity of over 4,50,000 units of air conditioners, 3,00,000 sets of washing machines, 5,00,000 refrigerators besides other products and solutions. The products produced at the plant are “RoHS-2” compliant which are Panasonics Global Standards for the minimized presence of harmful substances like Lead, Cadmium, etc. The plant is also certified with the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) and ISO 9001-2015.
