Reflection Residences is a luxury serviced residence found in the centre of Mutiara Damansara,
Petaling Jaya, Selangor. One of its amenities includes a large 2,200-square-foot gymnasium with
high-quality workout equipment to serve its residents while supporting healthy living.

Challenge: Pollutants and Unpleasant Odours in the Gymnasium

As the gym reopens with the community eager to return to their physical fitness routine, the residents look for solutions to provide a healthy indoor environment for the gymgoers. Workout equipment presents an elevated risk of transmission through the use of shared items and frequently touched surfaces alongside unpleasant odours that naturally come
with workout routines are a constant challenge.

While it is necessary to be proactive about cleaning and disinfecting workout equipment, residents want effective solutions to ensure the community breathes clean and safe air in its indoor facilities.

Solutions & Technology Applied

Addressing this challenge, Reflection Residences implemented Panasonic’s patented air purification technology, nanoe™ X technology, by installing Panasonic air-e ceiling mounted nanoe™ X generators in its gymnasium. Its compact size fits perfectly in the gym facility, maintaining an overall aesthetic look.

Panasonic nanoe™ X technology offers the benefits of hydroxyl radicals (also known as OH radicals) contained in water can inhibit bacteria, viruses, and other pollutants as well as deodorise odours. The nano-sized particles of nanoe™ X allow for deep penetration into soft furnishings like fabric, sofas, and carpets. nanoe™ technology is proven to effectively inhibit more than 99%* of novel coronavirus.

Panasonic nanoe™ X technology ensures that the gymnasium’s air is constantly purified around the clock. Residents are now able to work out worry-free in the gymnasium, supporting healthy living.

*Based on Panasonic verification test in collaboration with the Japan Textile Products Quality and Technology Center (QTEC), the virus titers of novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and its four variants (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta) were compared in a 45-liter test space with and without exposure to nanoe™. As a result, the test confirmed an inhibitory effect of more than 99% on all five types of viruses after two hours of exposure. Note that the verification results are based on the test in a closed test environment and not in a space actually in use.
