Signature Japanese Dish in MANILA

Not only flavor, but hospitality too. Here, we present Japanese restaurants in each country where you can experience premium Japanese cuisine.

In the busy district of Makati in the Philippines, there sits Sugi, a Japanese restaurant popular for keeping authentic flavor to its sashimi and shrimp tempura. It has a long history of providing high quality Japanese experiences to its customers not just through its foods, but also through its Japanese service and hospitality since 1983. The restaurant aims to continue to grow like the fragrant and tall-growing Sugi, the Japanese term for Pine tree, from which its name is derived from.

Smiles and warm greetings welcome you as you enter the restaurant. The friendly staff will then accompany you to your seats. There is an expansive dining hall on the first floor and five private Western style and Japanese style rooms on the second floor to choose from. Sugi also has an open bar where you can see your sushi being prepared fresh by highly skilled chefs led by Chef Masahiko Nakamura.

Sugi has a variety of cuisines to choose from such as sashimi, sushi, teppanyaki, donburi and even yakitori. Every month, the restaurant also offers five special dishes in addition to their staples to cater the curious palates of patrons by giving them something new. Everyone that comes is sure to fill their stomachs with delight.

Make sure to visit Sugi when you are in Manila to experience fresh and authentic Japanese food.
