Redesigned components in the body provide improved performance, especially in the rated cooling condition and COP performance. First, two independently controlled compressors achieve high efficiency (for more than 14 HP). Then, twin rotary compressors offer both low vibration and high COP.

Enlarged Heat Exchanger Surface Area

The new heat exchanger features a triple-surface construction. Compared to the divided dual-surface construction in current models, there is no division of space and the area for heat exchange is larger. Also, a highly efficient piping pattern increases heat exchange performance by 5%*. The condenser’s 3-row design improves the heat exchange efficiency by increasing the surface area.**

Oil Management System for Energy Saving and Comfortable Air Conditioning

If it takes time to recover the oil moved to the IDU side, the cooling capability will be reduced. Panasonic VRF systems minimize the time and frequency of oil recovery by managing oil recovery in three stages, equipping units with sensors to detect oil levels, and using accumulators. This reduces energy consumption and maintains comfort without sacrificing cooling capability.

Variable Evaporation Temperature (VET) for Energy Saving and Comfortable Air conditioning

The indoor and outdoor units work in tandem to control evaporation temperature, refrigerant volume, and airflow. This enables optimal air conditioning according to the number of people in the room and the indoor temperature, as well as energy savings and comfort.

Demand Response Ready

Simple Demand Response

Featuring inverter control technology, all Panasonic FSV systems are Demand Response Management (DRM) ready. With this control, power consumption at times of peak load can be set in three steps to deliver optimum performance. This helps to reduce annual power consumption with minimal loss in comfort.

A demand control terminal is available to control 0-70-100% of capacities.
Note: Terminal block CZ-CAPDC3 is to be supplied separately.

The setting is possible as 0% or in the range from 40 to 100% (in steps of 5%). At the time of shipping, the setting has been done to the three steps of 0%, 70%, and 100%.

Rust-resistant and Easy to Maintain

Corrosion-resistance treated for exposure to rust to assure long-lasting performance. The anti-corrosion Blue Fin treatment of the heat exchanger provides greater resistance against corrosion. Specific models with suffix “E” have this treatment. (Blue Fin treatment is applied to the condenser of the heat exchanger on all models.) Panasonic also uses a copper tube condenser, which makes it easy to repair and maintain.
Note: Selecting this unit does not completely eliminate the possibility of rust developing. For details concerning unit installation and maintenance, please consult an authorised dealer.

Prevents Unit Stoppages Due to Short Circuits Caused by Geckos

One of the common causes of failures of the outdoor unit is electrical short circuits caused by geckos entering the unit. The unit eliminates gaps that prevent geckos from entering the internal PCB and thus prevent operation stoppages.

Extended Compressor Life by Uniform Compressor Operation Time

The total run-time of compressors is monitored by a built-in microcomputer, which ensures that the operation times of all compressors within the same refrigerant circuit are balanced.* Compressors with histories showing shorter run times are selected first, ensuring equal wear and tear across all units and extending the working life of the system.**
*Depend on the accumulated operation time of each compressor. **Compressor priority can be changed. (e.g.) Case1: A->C->B->D, Case2: C->A->D->B, Case3: A->C->D->B, Case4: C->A->B->D

Automatic Backup Operation in the Case of Compressor Failure or Outdoor Unit Malfunction

Automatic backup operation works in the case of compressor failure or outdoor unit malfunction. Even if a whole outdoor unit fails, the other outdoor unit keeps running, and even if a compressor in a single system fails, the other compressor keeps running.
Note: Except for 8, 10 & 12 HP single unit installation. The backup operation allows uninterrupted cooling or heating to continue whilst waiting for service. Users should contact their authorised service centre as soon as a fault occurs.
