Before we even visited SaladStop!, I knew I was going to enjoy the restaurant because it has the word "salad" in its name. I try to eat healthy foods as much as I can, so fresh, wholesome salads are among my favorite meals. It was great to discover a new dining option in Singapore.

I loved the atmosphere of SaladStop! from the minute I walked through the store's doors. The restaurant has a modern, fresh vibe and offers a wide selection of things to eat.

The salad bar is quite impressive with many different toppings in bright, vibrant colors. Katherine, one of the owners of SaladStop!, graciously allowed me to sample some of the restaurant's signature salads. I loved the "Iron Woman" salad because it's packed with nutritious ingredients that are delicious!

The combination of pumpkin, feta cheese, and golden raisins, among other toppings, provided a colorful array that had a salty yet sweet taste.

Another thing that caught my eye at SaladStop! was the really nice selection of fresh juices, smoothies, and popsicles.

I imagine these treats are a refreshing way to cool down in Singapore's hot and humid weather.

My favorite part about the experience was creating my own salad. Katherine suggested some ingredients that would boost my workout power – beetroot for cardiovascular health and edamame for protein.

The end product was great, and I cannot wait to go back to SaladStop! to try coming up with some more delicious concoctions!

Nice green and colorful decor that makes me so hungry by just looking!

Using materials created from organic bamboo, Zhai's aesthetically pleasing clothing line not only benefits the environment but also represents a new-age innovation of stylish and timeless clothing.

The benefits of bamboo clothing are plenty, and especially, its hypoallergenic quality is an ideal for ladies who may have sensitive skin, as it absorbs three times more moisture than cotton.

Thus, these well-designed garments, made from 100% organically grown bamboo, are especially suitable for the tropical weather in Singapore.

They are also popular with the local ladies for its natural soft touch. Zhai's products is the top choice for the modern ladies in Singapore, who may be advocates of an eco-friendly environment as well.

Whether it is for work, play or sports, you will be able to find something for every woman in their store.

Now there is a way you can dress chic and elegant, and still do your bit to help conserve the environment.

I'm glad we were able to do our fashion report from Haji Lane. This little nook in Singapore is one of the trendiest locations on the island.

It's a nice change from the big box stores at the malls, and I love discovering unique treasures at the boutiques on the lane. I think it's great when we can support local businesses and designers because they have some really great items to offer.

Our visit to Zhai Eco Collection was a lot of fun. I had no idea what to expect from bamboo clothing, and was shocked at how soft, lightweight, and comfortable the fabric was. Kim, the owner, was very gracious as she showed us around her store.

I learned that she actually designs the pieces, which is really cool. I like how her designs are classic so that the clothing never goes out of style, and that she has a nice mix of clothes to wear for different occasions -- from the office to the gym or a girl's night out to a first date.

It's great to have these key basics in any wardrobe. I also appreciate the fact that bamboo clothing is so eco-friendly.

If we can all find at least one way to be friendlier to the environment,I imagine the positive impact will add up. Look great and save the environment at the same time!

You never have to ask me twice to visit the spa, so I welcomed the invitation to visit Nail's D'vine in Dempsey Hill. The spa is absolutely gorgeous with royal-like interior de'cor, and their amicable welcoming by their friendly staff made me feel at home.

I needed a treatment for dry skin on my hands and feet, so Stefanie, the owner of the spa, recommended a paraffin wax treatment. I've never done this before, so I was excited to try it out.

The process is really simple. Your skin is washed and massaged. Then your hand or foot is dipped into the wax three times. The wax is really warm and feels really nice.

The coating on your body almost looks like glaze on a doughnut (although it won't taste like it!).

After getting the coating of wax, the beautician wraps your hand or foot in a plastic bag to retain moisture and then puts a towel bootie on over the bag.

Then, you wait about 15 minutes and relax while the wax hardens. As the wax hardens, you can almost feel how soft your skin is going to be. After 15 minutes, the beautician removes the bootie and slowly pulls the bag off, pulling the wax off at the same time. It all comes off cleanly. And, voila!

Your skin is super soft, like a baby's bottom! I really enjoyed this soothing treatment. It was relaxing and the outcome is great!

Stefanie said it's a good idea to do this treatment between manicures because it helps restore the moisture and helps your nails to become healthy and strong.

I can't wait for my friends to try this treatment out!

The color combination of the furniture, makes me feel like royalty.

This is their manicure section. Just look at their shelves of nail colors & the Roman decoration. It's amazing!

My visit to Verita was awesome! I was really surprised to discover the halo-therapy treatment. I've never experienced anything like it before!

Julian, the CEO of Verita, introduced me to the wellness centre's salt cave. I didn't know what to expect, and my first impression of it was that it looked like a winter wonderland. The salt cave is a room filled with salt -- the floor and all the walls are covered with a thick layer of sea salt. Julian explained that the room is meant to mimic natural salt caves in Eastern Europe.

When you walk into the cave, you notice that the room is very cool, which is refreshing after being outdoors in Singapore. There was a distinct smell in the room, which came from the salt.

Surprisingly, it smelled very fresh and almost soothing. The salt cave is meant for relaxation as well as curing respiratory ailments such as asthma. Clients at Verita can chill in the room and read or take a nap.

I also learned that you can do yoga in the salt cave! How cool that is!

Lynn, the wellness centre's yoga instructor, gave me a private lesson. She led me through a series of poses that were quite difficult, but it felt nice to get a good stretch and to flex my muscles. I'm always amazed at how much concentration it takes to be good at yoga.

After my yoga session, I felt very energized and ready to take on the rest of the day!
