“Personal Information” refers to all and any information relating to you and that you provide to us through the Platform (including, but not limited to, your name, contact numbers, emirates ID, date of birth, email ID, delivery address/your residence, your set password and Internet Protocol Address) and obtained by us.

 

Your access and use of our shopping services via Platform, including providing of your Personal Information, constitutes your consent to collection, usage, storage, process and transfer of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

 

In order to serve you better, we may review and update this Privacy Statement from time to time. We reserve the right to amend, alter, change and modify this Privacy Statement without prior notice. Al Futtaim Panatech LLC, who is our authorized distributor and the seller of the products/services to you, is also responsible for your Personal Information for the purpose of accepting orders, processing an invoice, fulfil the order, delivery and/or after sales services that you may request via the Platform. 1. Collection and Use

1.1. We may collect, use, store and transfer the following information from you:

  • Identity Information: your name, date of birth, Emirates ID, gender, nationality and username.
  • Contact Information: delivery address, email address, telephone/mobile number.
  • Technical Information: includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, time zone setting, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access Platform and/or loyalty program (if applicable).
  • Profile Information: includes your username and password.
  • Marketing and Communications Information: includes your preferences in receiving marketing information from us and third parties (if applicable) and mode of communications.

1.2. You agree to provide us with your Personal Information and use the same by us when you (i) create an account via Platform (ii) sign up for newsletters/updates on product or promotion (iii) participate in direct marketing activities such as online promotion, surveys or lucky draws (iv) submit a question or provide feedback or otherwise contact us or request reply/information from us (v) carry out any transaction through the Platform and/or (vi) engage us to repair or service your product.

1.3. We may also collect and use Personal Information from other entities within the Panasonic group or from a third party who may lawfully transfer your information to us, including but not limited to, our suppliers, agents as well as authorized service providers, call centers, authorized distributors, dealers and resellers.

1.4. You hereby agree that we may also use your Personal Information to:

  • monitor your usage, customize, measure and/or improve our services, content and/or advertising to you;
  • process and deliver orders placed through the Platform and keep you informed about the order status;
  • provide and deliver our products and services to you, and provide support you requested us;
  • allow you to participate in contests and/or surveys;
  • send you marketing, media announcements, service updates and promotional offers;
  • use data analytics to improve our Platform, products, services, marketing, customer relationship and experience;
  • use and transfer Personal Information as required under the applicable laws; or
  • analysing, handling, resolving any information security matter.

1.5. You agree that all Personal Information submitted by you to us is complete, accurate, true and correct to support you to the fullest. If you failed to provide us with complete, accurate, true and correct Personal Information, we may not be able to perform (for example, process your account creation for you to use the Platform or to retrieve your account may fail).

1.6. We do not collect or store any information on your credit/debit card or net banking information with us. If you purchase the goods/services via the Platform, you are directed to Etisalat payment gateway, which their terms and conditions will govern to process your payment. Your Personal Information related to the payment will be managed as per their terms and conditions and privacy policy separately.

2. Cookies and Passive Tracking

2.1 A “cookie” is an element of data that can be sent to your browser. Your browser may then store it on your system based on the preferences you have set on your browser. Cookies gather information about your operating system including, but not limited to, browser type, and Internet Protocol address.

2.2 The Platform occasionally uses cookies to enhance information and services provided to you, and to make navigating website more conveniently. The Platform does not use cookies to obtain Personal Information that would allow it to identify you except in cases where you agreed to provide such information.

2.3 You have an option to configure your internet browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you a chance to decide whether to accept it. Further, you have an option to block all cookies. Please note, however, that if you refuse or otherwise block cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions on the Platform.

3. Access, Correction and Withdrawal of Consent

3.1 We only use your Personal Information for the purposes for which we collected it and provide you with access to your Personal Information, where applicable. If you wish to access, update or withdraw your consent with respect to your Personal Information that you have submitted to us through the Platform, or to make any inquiries or request about your Personal Information, please contact us: privacy@ae.panasonic.com. After you withdraw your consent, you acknowledge that we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you.

3.2 You have the right to ask us to delete or remove your Personal Information from our record where there is no good reason for us continuing to keep it. However, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of destruction or deletion for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.

4. Consent to International Transfer, Processing and Storage

4.1 The Personal Information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at a destination across international borders as necessary for processing and/or storage. By submitting your Personal Information to us via the Platform, you agree to transfer, storing and/or processing the same internationally, subject to the provisions of any applicable law.

5.1 We will use commercially reasonable endeavours to place appropriate security safeguards to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized access or accidental loss.

We will not be responsible for any unauthorized use of your Personal Information, or any activity on your profile, due to such unauthorized use and access; or loss of Personal Information. 6.1 We may provide or transfer your Personal Information you provide to other entities in the Panasonic group, our authorised distributors, dealers and resellers as well as our vendors, suppliers for the purposes as described in Section 1 above, but will not share or disclose or transfer your Personal Information to third parties without your permission, unless:

  • upon the request of government, regulatory or law enforcement agency;
  • for the investigation and help us to prevent from security threats, fraud or other malicious activity;
  • to enforce or protect the rights and properties of Panasonic or its affiliates; or
  • to protect the rights or personal safety of Panasonic employees and third parties.

6.2 We do not keep your Personal Information for longer than is necessary for the deemed purposes for which they are collected or beyond the statutory retention period, if any, whichever shorter, and may remove from our records without notifying you.

7. Protection of Minors

If you are under the age of 18 years, please do not access to the Platform and do not submit any Personal Information without prior written consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian.

8. Third Party Web Sites and Social Media Sites

8.1 The Platform may contain links to other web sites hosted by third parties whose privacy practices may differ from us. We do not endorse or make any representations about these third-party websites and will not be responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these sites, even if they appear as part of the Platform. 8.2 Platform may provide social media features that enable you to share information with your social networks and to interact with us on various social media sites. Your use of these features may result in the collection or sharing of your Personal Information, depending on the feature. 8.3 We expressly disclaim to the maximum extent permissible at law any liability for the security or privacy practices included on or operated by the operators of third-party websites and social media sites.

10. Third party features on our Platform

Our Platform may also contain features such as embedded video provided by third parties through their API's that is bound by API's terms of use. Depending on how you interact with these features your Personal Information may be collected by these third-parties, and we are not responsible for such collection.
