Featuring 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 and 4K video recording, the LUMIX G95 Digital Single Lens Mirrorless camera incorporates a new rugged design, offering high mobility for field use and a host of photo & video functions.
Rugged Dust and Splash Resistant* Design
The tough body is ready to take on a variety of challenging shooting environments. The magnesium alloy front frame is highly durable, while sealing helps protect every seam, dial, and button. The camera as a whole is dust and splash resistant.* In combination, these features help make shooting both productive and enjoyable in a wide range of weather conditions.
* Dust and splash resistant does not guarantee that damage will not occur if this camera is subjected to direct contact with dust and water.
High Speed, Low Light, DFD AF with Eye Detection
AF performance has been improved for shooting in low-light, low-contrast scenes in morning mist and evening landscapes. Low Light AF can also shoot down to -4 EV situations with accurate focusing even in moonlight.*
High speed AF in the LUMIX G95 utilises DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology**. Combined with its Venus Engine, the G95 calculates the distance to the subject by evaluating several images while consulting the optical characteristics of the current lens fitted. As a result, the LUMIX G95 achieves high speed AF of approximately 0.07 sec*** and high speed burst shooting at 9 fps (AFS) / 6 fps (AFC) to capture fast moving subjects in-focus.
Furthermore, the LUMIX G95 incorporates Face / Eye Detection AF which automatically sets focus right on the eye of a human face to capture stunning portraits with crisp focus. With the Pinpoint AF, users can also magnify the target area for exact, precise focus.
* At ISO100, F2, AFS. 100% contrast target.
** Contrast AF with DFD Technology works only with Panasonic Micro Four Thirds lenses.
*** In AFS, at wide-end with H-FSA14140 (CIPA).
Capture the Moment with 4K PHOTO
The unique 4K PHOTO feature allows you capture the perfect moment by selecting a frame from a video sequence shot at 30 fps and saving it as an 8-megapixel-equivalent high-resolution image. Don’t miss those fleeting moments!
4K PHOTO Auto Marking
The Auto Marking function helps you choose your best shots more easily. The camera detects motion or a human face and automatically sets a marker to enhance your creativity.
4K PHOTO Sequence Composition
Sequence Composition makes the 4K PHOTO feature even more creative. A unique stromotion image can be produced by synthesizing multiple 4K PHOTO images.
Post Focus / Focus Stacking
Panasonic's 4K technology gives you the remarkable capability of refocusing an image even after it has been taken. Select the in-focus area after shooting with the Post Focus function. Or adjust the depth of field after shooting with the Focus Stacking function.
Useful Functions for Night Time Shooting
Live View Boost: The display is brightened by lowering the frame rate and increasing the gain. This lets you shoot while framing, even in extremely dark situations.
Starlight AF: An original algorithm detects even small amounts of contrast to focus with light sources as subtle as starlight.
MF Assist 20x: The MF Assist display has been enlarged up to 20x. Accurate manual focusing is also possible even on tiny objects like stars.
Low-shock, Low-sound Shutter Unit
The shutter unit uses an electromagnetic drive. This greatly reduces the shock of the shutter diaphragm, to achieve sharp image quality in scenes such as landscapes, where tiny details are essential. It also minimizes the shutter sound, allowing you to choose a mechanical shutter in quiet situations.
New AWB Modes
In Auto White Balance, a new AWBw that retains a reddish tint is available in addition to conventional AWB (standard) and AWBc (bluish tint).
Intuitive Finder Operation
The body is designed to enable operation while viewing through the finder, with a grip that is stable even when shooting with one hand. Frequently used functions such as white balance, ISO, and exposure compensation are isolated using buttons and dials. These are also positioned within reach of the index finger and thumb for intuitive operation. Excellent mobility expands your range of shooting.
Creative Monochrome Options
L. Monochrome and L. Monochrome D are new monochrome modes in Photo Style that feature even finer gradations. Along with Monochrome, it gives you the dynamic control to help take black-and-white expressiveness to the next level, emphasizing highlights and shadows while preserving fine details.
In addition, each of these modes can be combined with Grain Effect at Low, Standard, or High level. When you have the appeal of monochrome film at your fingertips with rich black tones and grainy textures, even ordinary scenes can become something remarkable.
USB Power Supply / USB Power Charging
A USB connection cable can be used to charge the battery from a portable battery charger or personal computer. You can also supply power to the camera while shooting, which is convenient when shooting videos or shooting for long periods of time in a studio.
Extended Battery Life for Active Outdoor Shooting
By using two batteries, one in the camera and the other in the optional grip, the DMW-BGG1 (sold separately) doubles the battery life for extended shooting. Exclusively designed for the LUMIX G95, this accessory also makes gripping more comfortable, even in vertical angle shooting. It perfectly matches the camera, featuring the same style of buttons and dials. This grip boasts rugged dust and splash resistant.*
* Dust and Splash Resistant does not guarantee that damage will not occur if this battery grip is subjected to direct contact with dust and water.
Remote Control via Bluetooth 4.2 / Wi-Fi®
Bluetooth 4.2 (Low Energy) enables shutter release and video record start/stop via a smartphone or tablet. You can also use the Panasonic Image App for Android/iOS to control functions like zoom and focus and to share your images on social media via Wi-Fi®.
