Easy color grading with REAL TIME LUT

LUTs can be applied to photos and videos on the camera body itself, allowing you to create photos and videos straight out of the camera. Supports ".VLT" and ".CUBE" file formats.
By utilizing this feature, you can save time on the complicated post-editing process. In combination with the LUMIX Lab app*, you can easily create your own LUTs and install them on the camera.

*Please update the firmware on the camera to version 3.1.

MP4(Lite)

MP4(Lite)* is available, enabling video recording in 4K Open Gate mode with reduced data consumption without compromising resolution. This new smartphone-optimized format makes it easier to quickly share content on social media.

*MP4(Lite) is available after the firmware update to version 3.2.

Real-time pan, tilt and zoom

Live cropping creates pan, tilt, zoom in, and zoom out effects in real time, enabling advanced video production onboard the camera with no need for specialized shooting or editing skills. The LUMIX S5II also supports cropping from 5.9K to 4K.

Sheer overlay (photo and video)

Enjoy easy tracing of photos and videos. For example, in product photography, you may want to shoot different variations of the same angle and size. Or you may want to start the next shot from the same position as the shot you just took. To make that easier, you can now display any image as a transparency.*

Time lapse video with 4K 60p/50p

The LUMIX S5II supports interval capture to create time lapse video in the camera body itself and is also capable of 4K 60p/50p. Still photos can also be shot with V-Log or Like709 for outstanding handling in post-production. Exposure smoothing takes place during processing, resulting in beautiful time lapse videos with smooth exposure changes.

AWB Lock

Lock in auto white balance to optimize efficiency in situations where the light source is variable indoors due to a mixture of artificial and natural light, or in other situations where manual settings based on color temperature would have been required.

Color shading compensation function

With a mount adapter, use your classic lenses. The LUMIX S5IIX is equipped with a new shading compensation function that can automatically or optionally correct the bluish/reddish coloration on the periphery that may occur when older lenses are mounted.
