96MP ultra-high-resolution recording
In the High Resolution mode, the camera automatically captures consecutive images while shifting the sensor, and the new engine's high-speed signal processing smoothly synthesizes them into a 96-megapixel equivalent (12,000 x 8,000-pixel) image. This allows you to capture magnificent natural scenery and detailed works of art in ultra-high resolution. The LUMIX S5II supports RAW file recording, JPEG file recording, and RAW processing during playback, with quick access from the drive mode dial.
With firmware version 2.2, the shutter speed at high resolution mode can now be set to max 8-second with the long exposure noise reduction applied. Thanks to the image stabilizer, Handheld High-Res mode** has been added to enable recording pictures with higher resolution even without using a tripod.
