Panasonic easy to handle telecom system offers scalability while maximizing government funding for the benefit of students.
Al Mansour Commercial Center located in Algiers (MCC) has been the leader on the Algerian market since 2016 for the procurement, installation and maintenance of IT and telecom solutions as well as broadcast, multimedia and AV systems. The company occupies a large 3000 m² surface replete with showroom, training room for maintenance and repair workshops and a bonded warehouse of 1000 m². MCC is today the official distributor of renowned world brands including Panasonic.
The Algerian School of Magistrates is a public institution where the future judges, public prosecutors and practicing magistrates are trained. The institution was established in 2004 but the school original start and the first batch of magistrate students can be traced back to 1990. A new extension of the school located in the city of Kolea in Tipaza Province opened in 2018.
It occupies a huge 120,500 m² of built area with a campus inside and is equipped with more then 1,000 teaching places, a block of accommodation, language labs, a library, a courtroom for the future judges’ practical classes, a lecture hall conference and other ancillary services including four restaurants and sports facilities.
The main challenge was to deploy a new and affordable phone system in the campus, the administration building and the reception block before opening. This communication system had to allow for the easy handling of today’s needs while offering scalability for tomorrow and be provided by a single vendor to maximize government funding for the benefit of students
Panasonic Value Proposition
The School requested and received several competitive offers to evaluate over a span of three months. The project was finally awarded to Panasonic thanks to the proposed NSX-2000 new communication system deemed superior to other vendors systems. Ultimate Activation Key (KX-NSXP101) which minimizes system costs while maximizing capacity was another big reason why Panasonic was awarded this project.
Specs wise, the school requirements were the following. An efficient Hybrid Telephony system that can handle:
● 12 Analog External lines
● Hotel solution including 1080 SIP phones for the campus that comprises 10 blocks, each block featuring 5 floors with 20 rooms in each and 8 technical locals for each bloc.
● Over 250 IP phones +32 Analog extensions

● Panasonic KX-NS500 Smart Hybrid PBX that offers a cost effective legacy and IP communication system for small and medium sized entities

The system was installed between June and July 2018 to the great satisfaction of the school administrators. It features on top of the above CA console and EHS headset for the operator, video for the CEO, remote maintenance, time-based routing, outbound call limitation in the campus and outgoing call barring from the campus to the pedagogy blocks. Some analog extensions were preserved from the legacy network mainly for fax machines extended usage. Experience and coordination between the combined MCC and Panasonic expertize allowed for perfect integration of a highly usable and reliable new generation PBXs NSX with a huge savings potential.
