
Apple, Pear and Almond Crumble

Ingredients
- 400 gApples peeled, cored and sliced
- 400 gPears peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 tspCinnamon
- 0.5 cupBrown sugar
- 1.75 cupPlain flour
- 0.33 cupDesiccated coconut
- 0.5 cupBrown sugar
- 0.5 cupAlmonds thinly sliced
- 200 gSalted butter cubed and softened
- 2 tspCinnamon sugar
Steps
1) Place the cut apples and pears in a microwave/oven safe casserole dish. Sprinkle with ½ cup brown sugar and the cinnamon. Microwave for 10 minutes at 1000 watts, stirring halfway. Carefully remove from microwave.
2) Whilst crumble filling is cooking, make the almond crumble. In a bowl combine plain flour, coconut, oats, almonds, brown sugar and butter. Using fingers, rub the ingredients together to form a crumbly consistency.
3) Sprinkle the crumble topping over the cooked apples and pears. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.
4) Place the enamel tray on top of the glass tray and place the crumble into the microwave and cook on convection 180°C for 10 minutes or until crumble is golden and crunchy.
