7.5-stop Dual I.S. 2 (Image Stabilizer)

7.5-stop Dual I.S. 2 (Image Stabilizer)

It's difficult to handhold a camera at the best of times, but don't fret: with the 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 (Image Stabilizer), intelligent compensation comes to your aid. This is the equivalent to 7.5 doublings of exposure duration, meaning you can use a 7.5-stop slower shutter speed up to tele-end.* The LUMIX GH6 eliminates shake in both body and lens even at the telephoto setting. It also works in both photo and video recording, including 4K video. The astonishing power of the 5-axis Body I.S. with 7.5-stop compensation power corrects shake for all lenses, even those not equipped with O.I.S.**

100MP Handheld High-Resolution Mode

100MP Handheld High-Resolution Mode

The LUMIX GH6's High Resolution Mode supports hand-held shooting, using the Body Image Stabilizer (B.I.S.) mechanism to shift the sensor while capturing 16 consecutive images. Then, it selects the 8 steadiest shots and automatically synthesizes them into a 100-megapixel equivalent (11,552 x 8,672-pixel) file. This allows you to capture magnificent natural scenery and detailed works of art in ultra-high resolution without using a tripod. The GH6 supports RAW file recording, JPEG file recording, and RAW processing during playback, with quick access from the drive mode dial.

High-speed, high-precision AF

High-speed, high-precision AF

Thanks to the new Live MOS sensor’s higher readout speed and new Venus Engine’s superior processing power, the GH6 boasts higher DFD (Depth From Defocus) calculation speed, while an improved algorithm allows it to quickly and accurately recognize and track both humans (face, eyes, head, body) and animals (dogs, cats, birds).

Focus ring control

Focus ring control

Choose the focus ring control setting that feels right to you: either NONLINEAR, which accelerates the focus movement in accordance with the speed of the focus ring, or LINEAR, which moves the focus at a constant speed in accordance with the rotating angle of the focus ring. When LINEAR is selected, you can set the focus ring rotating angle, enabling you to focus intuitively and accurately in the manner you are accustomed to.

AFS 75fps burst shooting

AFS 75fps burst shooting

Thanks to the new sensor’s higher readout speed and new Venus Engine’s superior processing power, the LUMIX GH6 delivers AFS burst shooting using the electronic shutter at 75 frames per second with 25.2-megapixel resolution. The sensor’s higher readout speed also minimizes rolling shutter distortion and captures images too fast for the naked eye to process.

Tilt and free-angle rear monitor

Tilt and free-angle rear monitor

The first LUMIX G series camera to feature a tilt and free-angle rear monitor. Leveraging the convenience of both a tilt monitor and a free-angle monitor, the monitor can be rotated even with an HDMI or USB cable attached to the camera. This allows for greater flexibility when checking the monitor while connected to an external recorder or other device.
