Not sure about the differences between a front-loader and a top-loader?
Here are the features of each.
Washing Methods

Front-loaders Wash by Tumbling and Stirring
Requires less water but more time. Uses tumbling action where the drum rotates and stops to lift and drop clothes. This helps minimise tangling of clothes and damage to fabric.

Top-loaders Wash by Stirring
Requires more water but less time. Uses spinning action, where the washing machine stirs the water, to make items rub against each other.
Drying Functions

Front-loaders Wash and Dry
Front-loaders are recommended if you want to save time and effort on drying. They also dry clothes fluffy and soft even on rainy days.

Top-loaders Only Wash
Top-loaders are recommended if you enjoy the crisp texture of sun-dried clothes or have a separate dryer.
Stain Removal

Front-loaders Better Against Yellowing
Front-loaders excel at removing sebum stains, such as yellowing on collars and cuffs, because they wash with a more concentrated cleaning solution, dissolving detergent in a smaller amount of water.

Top-loaders Better Against Solid Mud Stains
Top-loaders excel at removing solid stains, such as stubborn mud, because the stirred water gets items rubbing against each other.
Ease of Unloading

Front-loaders No Need to Lift Things to Unload
You load and unload from the front of a front-loader, so there’s no need to lift heavy laundry out after washing. This reduces strain on your lower back.

Top-loaders No Need to Stoop Down to Unload
You put clothes in and take them out from the top of a top-loader without squatting. This is less stressful on your knees.
Feature Comparison
Please carefully check the differences in features of front-loaders and top-loaders. Then choose the one that is most suitable for you.
