Choosing your ideal air conditioner: Inverter vs Non-inverter
Learn the differences between inverter and non-inverter air conditioners to determine the ideal cooling companion for your living space.
Inverter vs Non-Inverter:
What are the Differences?
When it comes to cooling and conditioning the air in your home, you want the most energy efficient, eco-friendly and cost-effective air conditioner so that you and your loved ones feel comfortable and can enjoy clean, quality air.
Air conditioners with inverter technology are fast becoming the preferred option for homeowners today, due to its energy efficiency and quieter operation. But how do they work? And how are they different from conventional non-inverter air conditioners?
[Scenario 1] Fast Cooling: Inverter vs. Non-Inverter Air Conditioners
Learn how inverter technology makes a difference! Watch this video to see a clear comparison of inverter and non-inverter AC performance and find the perfect fit for your cooling needs.
[Scenario 2] Energy Saving: Inverter vs. Non-Inverter Air Conditioners
Beat the heat and keep your budget cool! Choosing the right air conditioner can significantly impact your electricity costs. In this video, we’ll share the difference between inverter and non-inverter air conditioners.
[Scenario 3] Comfort Cooling: Inverter vs. Non-Inverter Air Conditioners
Struggling to find the perfect sleep temperature for your family? Inverter air conditioners maintain a consistent temperature all night, preventing uncomfortable fluctuations and sleep disruptions.
What is an inverter air conditioner?
The key difference between the two air-conditioner types lies in the compressor's ability to regulate the speed of its motor to adjust to the room's temperature. Once a room is cool, inverter air conditioners lower the speed of the compressor motor to save energy and refrigerant required to cool the air.
In comparison, non-inverter motors only run at full speed then shuts off when the room temperature reaches the desired temperature. This repetitive ON-OFF process creates more noise and consumes more energy.
An inverter air conditioner that is better for the environment
Panasonic’s Inverter R32 air conditioner is powered with R32 refrigerant which has a higher cooling capacity, making the air conditioner more energy efficient. It has low Global Warming Potential (GWP), therefore produces significantly less harmful emissions.
Inverter air conditioners - An all-round winning choice
While non-inverter air conditioners may cost less, inverter air conditioners operate quietly to provide a consistent, more energy efficient cooling comfort that provides better value in the long run.
The X-Premium (XU) Inverter Series features Panasonic’s nanoe™ Technology which deodorises, inhibits bacteria and viruses and removes dust from the air.
The Panasonic Comfort Cloud App allows you to control your air conditioning units remotely to pre-cool your space, manage room temperatures and monitor energy usage, even while you are away.
