Add Your Unit to Comfort Cloud App for
Residential Network Adaptor
Connect your air conditioner to the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App via the optional external network adaptor, CZ-TACG1.
What you need to get started:
• A Wi-Fi compatible air conditioner.
• An external network adaptor, CZ-TACG1.
• A smartphone/tablet that runs on Android or iOS.
• Latest version of the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App – Android | iOS
• A router that supports 2.4GHz or 2.4GHz/5GHz band.
• An Internet connection.
Sign in to the Comfort Cloud App
Sign in to the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App using either your Panasonic ID or your Apple/Google Account. View sign-in steps here.
1.0 Add Your Unit (Network Adaptor CZ-TACG1)
The following steps are to set up the connection between a Wi-Fi compatible air conditioner equipped with the optional external network adaptor and the Comfort Cloud App, with the options of using your Wireless LAN router password or without a password.
1.1 Connect with Wireless LAN Router Password
Before you begin, make sure you have a 2.4GHz Wireless LAN router with internet connection.
Step 1
Tap the “+” icon.
Step 2
Choose “Air conditioner”.
Step 3
Choose “External Wireless Adaptor”.
Step 4
Check if the “POWER LED” on the network adaptor is “ON”. Tap “Next”.
*The “POWER LED” is “ON” when its LED is continuously lit but not blinking.
Step 5
As the first user, click the “RESET” button with a pin. Then tap “Next”.
Step 6
Tap “LED is OFF/Blinking”.
Step 7
Click the “RESET” button with a pin again. Tap “Next”.
Step 8
Press “SETUP” and do not let go until the “STATUS LED” starts to blink in orange, and then release the “SETUP” button immediately. Then tap “Next”.
Step 9
A pop-up for "Settings" might appear. Tap it to access your Wi-Fi settings. Make sure your smartphone/tablet’s Wi-Fi is connected to "Panasonic-XX-wirelessAP”.
or you might see a message asking "Comfort Cloud" Wants to Join Wi-Fi Network “Panasonic-XX-wirelessAP”?. If so, tap "Join".
It should connect automatically without password.
Step 10
The unit will connect to the same wireless connection as your smartphone/tablet.
Enter the Wireless LAN router password and tap “OK”.
Step 11
Wait until the “POWER LED” and “LINK LED” are “ON” which means the device has successfully connected to the wireless network.
Step 12
Enter the device ID and create password. Tap “Register”.
*As the first user, you need to create a new password for the air conditioner. This password will be required when adding an additional user.
You can find the device ID on the network adaptor's box or tag.
Step 13
Set air conditioner name and then tap “Register”.
1.2 Connect without Wireless LAN Router Password
Before you begin, make sure you have a 2.4GHz Wireless LAN router with internet connection.
Step 1
Tap the “+” icon.
Step 2
Choose “Air conditioner”.
Step 3
Choose “External Wireless Adaptor”.
Step 4
Check if the “POWER LED” on the network adaptor is “ON”. Tap “Next”.
*The “POWER LED” is “ON” when its LED is continuously lit but not blinking.
Step 5
As the first user, click the “RESET” button with a pin. Then tap “Next”.
Step 6
Tap “Click here to connect without entering a password”.
Step 7
Press the WPS button on the router, then tap “Next”.
Step 8
Press “SETUP” and do not let go until the “STATUS LED” and “LINK LED” start to blink simultaneously, and then release the “SETUP” button immediately. Tap “Next” to continue.
Step 9
Wait until the “POWER LED” and “LINK LED” are “ON” which means the device has successfully connected to the wireless network.
Step 10
Enter the device ID and create password. Tap “Register”.
*As the first user, you need to create a new password for the air conditioner. This password will be required when adding an additional user.
You can find the device ID on the network adaptor's box or tag.
Step 11
Set air conditioner name and then tap “Register”.
