Cheese and Red Pesto Tarts
These delicious tarts make a perfect weekend brunch when friends come around. Just a few minutes prep work and not much longer to bake in your convection oven, and you can serve out an impressive gourmet treat!
Ingredients
- 12pre-made tart shells
- 65 gred pesto or sun dried tomato paste
- 2medium tomatoes (Peeled, seeded, and chopped)
- 125 gmozzarella (grated)
- 1garlic clove
- 0.25 cupparmesan
- Fresh basil for garnish
Steps
STEP 1
Chill tart shells for 30 min. Line on tray.
STEP 2
Preheat the oven at 200°C with enamel shelf in lower position. Mix the red pesto, tomatoes, mozzarella, and garlic in a bowl.
STEP 3
Fill the tart shells with mixture. Sprinkle with parmesan.
STEP 4
Bake for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown.
STEP 5
Scatter fresh basil leaves on tarts to serve.
