Outstanding photography to capture every decisive moment

Every moment, captured with clarity — 24.1MP sensor
Introducing LUMIX’s first-ever* partially stacked CMOS sensor
LUMIX's unique color science, based on its picture-making philosophy of "Capturing It All," works in harmony with a newly developed 24.1MP partially stacked CMOS sensor to expand creative possibilities in both photography and videography. Featuring high-speed processing circuits positioned above and below the pixel area, the sensor delivers outstanding image quality and advanced performance. With a readout speed approximately 3.5 times faster than previous models**, it reduces rolling shutter distortion, supports smoother high-frame-rate video, and enables autofocus that is about 1.6 times faster***.
Additionally, by combining this sensor with a high-performance image processing engine featuring L² technology, the camera delivers beautifully clear, natural-looking images with high resolution and a wide dynamic range.

Image processing engine that maximizes sensor performance
Thanks to its high-speed processing, the engine brings out the full potential of the newly developed image sensor, delivering images with stunning clarity and lifelike textures. New intelligent detail processing and advanced noise reduction ensure exceptional image quality, sensitivity, and color reproduction. It also supports high-speed processing of open gate 6K 30p (3:2) and 5.1K 60p (3:2) video, as well as high-frame-rate formats like C4K/4K 120p and FHD 240p.

Enhanced tonal expression with 14-bit RAW support
Thanks to the high-speed readout of the newly developed image sensor, 14-bit RAW capture is available in all burst shooting modes*. 14-bit RAW offers 16,384 levels of gradation, four times more than the 4,096 levels of 12-bit. This dramatically reduces tonal breaks during aggressive post-processing and preserves detail in both highlights and shadows. As a result, images feature beautifully smooth gradations and a rich dynamic range.

15 stops V-Log/V-Gamut*
The LUMIX S1II now supports 15-stop* V-Log/V-Gamut recording, the highest level ever for LUMIX cameras. It handles complex lighting conditions such as scenes that mix indoor lighting and sunlight while preserving highlights and shadows.
*Dynamic Range Boost ON: 15 stops. Dynamic Range Boost OFF: 14+ stops

Photo Style
Standard mode serves as the benchmark for the LUMIX picture-making philosophy of “Capturing It All.” It accurately captures subjects as they truly are, achieving a fine balance between memory colors and reproduction. Additionally, depending on the shooting scene or your creative intent, you can choose from various photo styles, including Vivid, Natural and unique monochrome settings. You can also adjust contrast and color saturation to suit your personal preferences.

LEICA Monochrome
Leica is well known for its superior picture quality and has a reputation from users all over the world for its outstanding depiction and expressiveness. Through our L2 Technology collaboration, we learned the picture-making philosophy that Leica has built up over its long history and realized this mode as one of the new expressiveness of the LUMIX camera. It features deep contrasts between black and white.
・Compared to LUMIX’s L.Monochrome D, LEICA Monochrome shows brighter images on highlights, and generally strong and dynamic monochrome.

LUMIX’s first-ever* support for HEIF recording
In addition to the conventional JPEG and RAW formats, this camera now supports HEIF recording in 4:2:0 10-bit. Delivering rich 10-bit tonal gradation, the HEIF format offers higher compression efficiency than JPEG while supporting HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) photos. When viewed on an HDR display, images display natural brightness and color gradation, allowing you to enjoy results that more closely match human visual perception.

96MP ultra-high-resolution photos
Handheld High Resolution shooting
The camera is equipped with a high-resolution mode, allowing you to capture even the finest details. Utilizing the in-body image stabilization (B.I.S.) system, it shifts the image sensor while continuously shooting, and by automatically combining eight shots, it generates an image equivalent to approximately 96MP. It supports both RAW and JPEG or in-camera RAW processing, delivering detailed expression with LUMIX's signature rendering. The LUMIX S1II also supports this mode in handheld situations, making it flexible for use in locations where a tripod cannot be used.

Your unique color expressions, straight out of the camera
REAL TIME LUT
REAL TIME LUT is a feature that allows you to apply a LUT (Look-Up Table) directly within the camera for unique color expression. You can also create your own custom LUTs. In other words, this feature can be described as a way to "create an infinite number of photo styles." You can import LUTs provided by the LUMIX Lab app or your favorite creators online directly into the camera for both photo and video shooting. Additionally, you can layer two LUTs together to develop your own unique color styles. The supported LUT file formats are ".VLT" and ".CUBE".

LUMIX Lab app
LUMIX Lab is an app for iOS and AndroidTM devices, enabling wireless connectivity and control between LUMIX cameras and smartphones. Also, once you have transferred the image data from your camera to your smartphone, you can use the app to apply LUTs or create your own original LUTs using the app’s color adjustment function.

Fastest in the LUMIX S Series*: AFC burst shooting at 70 fps**
(Electronic shutter)
Thanks to a newly developed partially stacked CMOS sensor, the LUMIX S1II delivers up to 70 fps** using when using its electronic shutter. Ideal for fast-moving, unpredictable subjects like urban sports, wildlife, or vehicles, it captures decisive moments with exceptional precision. The viewfinder and monitor remain blackout-free, enabling confident framing with post view support.

AFC burst shooting at 10 fps (H+)
(Mechanical shutter)
In addition to standard live view shooting, the LUMIX S1II introduces H+ mode that prioritizes burst speed in AFC mode, achieving approximately 10 fps with the mechanical shutter. The viewfinder and monitor remain blackout-free, allowing for confident framing with post view support.

Go back in time
Pre-burst shooting
The most reliable way to seize a photo opportunity is to turn back time and capture the perfect shot. The LUMIX S1II’s pre-burst shooting function offers options for 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5-second pre-burst settings. This feature enables you to capture hard-to-predict decisive moments, from the instant a water bird hits the surface of the water to the agile movements of an athlete.

Take unrealistic photos
Multi Exposure
The Multi Exposure function lets you take multiple exposures in a single frame, making it simple to create an unrealistic and fantastic scene or unique composition.
AI-powered WB Adjustment
AI-AWB
RAW processing in-camera now includes AI-powered white balance adjustment. The system identifies lighting conditions and fine-tunes white balance for each subject, ensuring beautifully balanced results, even in scenes with mixed lighting.
