A twist on the classic white sandwich loaf, this Banana Nut Bread features fresh bananas with a hint of cinnamon. Very easy in the bread machine!

Dough

  • 200 gbread flour
  • 40 gsugar
  • 0.25 tspsalt
  • 40 gAnchor Salted Butter
  • 55 gmilk
  • 55 gbanana, mashed
  • 30 gegg
  • 1 tspvanilla essence
  • 6 ginstant yeast

Garnish

  • 50 gchocolate chips
  • 30 gwhole almond, chopped
  • 20 galmond flakes
  • 2bananas, sliced (one for filling and one for topping)
  • 15 gsugar
  • 0.125 tspMcCormick Cinnamon Ground

Steps

1) Place all bread ingredients except the yeast into Panasonic bread maker pan. Put yeast into the yeast dispenser. Select Menu 9 and press start.

2) Once done, remove the dough from the bread pan and roll it out into a rectangular shape. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the dough and arrange slices of one banana and almonds over the surface. Sprinkle sugar and McCormick Cinnamon Ground over it.

3) Roll up the dough like a Swiss roll and cut the middle. Plait dough then put it into the bread tin. Set aside to proof for 40 minutes or till double in size. Sprinkle almond flakes and arrange the second banana slices over the bread.

4) Bake in the pre-heated Cubie oven at 160°C for 20-25 minutes.

5) Remove bread from tin and set aside to cool on a wire rack.
