Assurance of Product Safety: Dismissal of Refrigerator Electricity Leakage Allegation

There was a video circulating on social media recently alleging that the Panasonic refrigerator in the video had electricity leakage on the refrigerator body/door.
We have conducted the investigation on-site last Friday (5 July 2019). Based on various safety tests carried out on the said refrigerator, it was concluded that there was no electricity leakage issue, and the product is in good and safe-to-use condition.
We would like to emphasize that Panasonic always place product safety as our top priority. All Panasonic products are in compliance with all the safety requirements, and are tested and approved by SIRIM and Suruhanjaya Tenaga respectively.
We advise all our customers to contact our Customer Service Careline (Tel: +603-79537600 Fax: +603-79537606 E-mail: ccc@my.panasonic.com) if you have any enquiries.
Panasonic Malaysia reserves the right to take action including legal action there of if any false posting on social or other media deemed to tarnish or damage Panasonic’s reputation.
