Petaling Jaya, 22 January 2020 – Panasonic Group of Companies in Malaysia that consist of manufacturing, sales & engineering, research & development, finance & insurance, logistics & procurement, investment holding & management service support Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission or MACC's endeavour to fight corruption by signing the Corruption-Free Pledge recently.
The ceremony was conducted on 14 January 2020 at Wisma Panasonic, Petaling Jaya with the main highlight being the pledge of ‘zero tolerance’ against corruption and also a declaration by the signatories to the stakeholders that corruption is intolerable. This effort is to strengthen company’s governance based on integrity and ethical work culture.
The pledge ceremony was led by Mr Hiroyuki Tagishi, Managing Director of Panasonic Appliances Asia Pacific and witnessed by the Chief Commissioner of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Puan Latheefa Koya.
Amongst those present at the ceremony were the Managing Directors, representatives of Panasonic Group of Companies in Malaysia, Panasonic members and MACC officers.
