All New Project in anticipation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020

Since launching his career as a news photographer in 1997, Adam Pretty has constantly shown a desire to take on new and unique challenges. Adam’s photojournalism projects have covered a wide variety of sports. His creative photography work focusing on the athletes themselves has come to represent his own original and masterful style. With this latest project, Adam takes on the all-new challenge of expertly capturing the Olympic and Paralympic Games in never before seen forms of expression – a challenge made possible by the LUMIX.

Adam Pretty began his career as a news photographer at The Sydney Morning Herald in 1997 and his desire to specialize in sport photography saw him move to Getty Images in 1998. Since joining the Getty Images team, Adam has been based in Los Angeles, Sydney, Beijing, Tokyo and now Munich. Adam has photographed a variety of major global sporting events, including Nine Olympic Games. Adam‘s pre-eminence in the field of sport action photography has been recognized widely throughout the photographic world. He has been awarded a number of major international awards throughout his career. Always seeking new challenges and experiences in photography, in 2007 Adam decided to broaden his expertise and began shooting advertising projects alongside his sports work. Through both his sports and advertising photography, Adam constantly challenges people’s perceptions with fresh ideas – an element of his job that he particularly enjoys.
