  • MX950 features Mini LED technology with Quantum Dot layer for flagship LED picture quality with superior brightness and minimal halo effect.
  • Panasonic’s HCX Pro AI processor and improved Filmmaker Mode mean that viewers can enjoy content as the artist intended – in whatever environment they’re watching.
  • Advanced gaming features for both models include Game Mode Extreme and AMD FreeSync™ Premium technology1.
  • Available in 55-, and 65-inch sizes.

Today, Panasonic announces the MX950 LED 4K Ultra HD TV, offering an exceptional combination of picture quality and versatility, as well as the latest Mini LED2 panel technology.

Available in 55- and 65-inch screen sizes, the new model delivers a premium LED TV experience, designed specifically for picture quality enthusiasts with bright airy rooms that still want to enjoy a high level of picture fidelity at a reasonable cost.

PANASONIC’S BRIGHTEST LED PICTURE YET

Thanks to Mini LED technology, which enables far greater control over the backlighting of an LED TV, the MX950 flagship LED TV is capable of outstanding brightness and contrast. Mini LED also minimises the halo effect found on many LCD TVs, by reducing light bleed and thereby ensuring that darker areas of the screen remain dark. Furthermore, the MX950 utilises a Quantum Dot layer for astounding colour reproduction.

Marrying these top-quality LED TV panels to the advanced HCX Pro AI processor and an improved Filmmaker Mode ensures that viewers can enjoy their favourite content just as the artist intended.

Using ambient colour temperature sensing, Filmmaker Mode ensures accurate picture reproduction in any lighting conditions; for example, by lowering the temperature in response to warmly lit conditions or brightening the dark tones in extremely bright environments.

Taking full advantage of this peak picture performance, a range of HDR (high dynamic range) formats are supported – Dolby Vision IQ®3, and HDR 10+ Adaptive.

IN THE GAME
With the MX950, switching from TV to gaming couldn’t be simpler, thanks to Panasonic’s Game Mode Extreme.

Game Mode Extreme instantly reduces input lag and latency so what you see on screen matches your operation exactly, giving you a smoother gameplay experience that faithfully reproduces the vision of game creators.

With support for HDMI 2.1 key features such as full 4K resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, ultra-low latency, and input lag, VRR, and AMD FreeSync™ Premium technology, the MX950 brings epic speed, high resolution, and seamless motion to every game. And, when connected to a system using a NVIDIA RTX graphics card4, the new models automatically optimise input lag and VRR settings for tear- and stutter-free gaming sessions.

Bringing new layers of intensity to every gaming session, the TVs come with new gaming sound modes, that allow players to lose themselves in whatever universe they’re exploring.

Available to set up in the MX950’s upgraded Game Control Board, RPG (Role-Playing Game) Sound Mode is designed to make users feel as though they are submerged inside the game’s virtual world, while FPS (First-Person Shooter) Mode helps users sense where other players are through surround sound, allowing them to hear subtle sounds such as footsteps for a tactical advantage.

SOUND WITH REAL IMPACT
A great picture is nothing without impactful audio, of course. For immersive sound that delivers new realms of depth, clarity, and detail, the MX950 features Dolby Atmos® that creates an enriched surround experience.

Meanwhile, Panasonic’s Dynamic Theatre Surround uses a built-in sub-woofer to deliver deep powerful bass and a truly dynamic sound that transports you from your sofa to the heart of the action without the need for a bulky separate speaker system.

MY HOME SCREEN 8.0 IMPROVEMENTS
The MX950 has the latest version of Panasonic’s acclaimed smart TV OS, my Home Screen 8.0. This supports all major video streaming services and comes with improvements to accessibility features and the myScenery function.

Panasonic has worked with the German Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted to further improve our accessibility options. In the initial set up, the MX950 offers different setting options for both hearing and visually impaired users, which then can be guided through the initial setup by Voice Guidance to simplify the first time installation of the Panasonic TV. In addition, it provides a function for visually impaired users to learn the buttons by audible feedback.5

As well as offering these important accessibility improvements, the MX950 also helps you relax. The myScenery feature, which allows you to choose a selection of restful images and videos6, has new nature sounds, which have been collected from all over the world by the Joy Foundation, inc.7 and newly encoded in Dolby Atmos®.

You can control the MX950 using just your voice with Alexa built-in8 or Google Assistant-enabled devices9.

FLEXIBLE RECEPTION WITH PENTA TUNER
Panasonic makes TV reception extremely flexible with the MX950 and uses the convenient Penta Tuner with Twin function, providing five different options for advanced broadcast reception. Only available from Panasonic, it’s perfectly equipped for all conceivable TV reception paths today, including DVB-C (cable reception), DVB-S (via satellite), DVB-T (traditional out/indoor antenna), TV to IP, and IPTV.

For the reception of cable, satellite and antenna, the twin concept offers a first-class experience, with the ability to watch one programme live while a second is recorded on a connected external USB hard disk. Meanwhile, two CI slots allow for the decoding of paid TV programmes. During installation, the TV automatically detects and selects which signal source is connected.

It also allows for TV to IP, receiving all TV programmes from the home network via a server, as well as IPTV, which streams content directly from the Internet.

With IPTV, the HbbTV Operator App Standard10 provides part of the TV user interface, combining terrestrial TV programmes with online content and automatically activating the app of the HbbTV operator every time the TV is switched on.
