About Magnus

Magnus McDermid brings over 25 years of sales, marketing and operational experience in the Canadian business marketplace to his role as Vice-President of the Enterprise Solutions Division at Panasonic Canada Inc. He also serves concurrently as Senior Vice President, Mobility Group, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America (PSCNA), based in Newark, NJ.

After joining the organization in 1996 in a sales management role, Magnus has grown within Panasonic and has held various Director level positions within the Retail Systems group, and Computer and Communications group before taking on the role of General Manager of the Computer and AV solutions group in 2010.

Appointed as Vice-President of the Enterprise Solutions Division in 2013, Magnus now oversees sales and operations for all of Panasonic Canada’s B2B systems where he focuses on delivering high-performance technology to help businesses work smarter and more efficiently.

As part of Panasonic Canada’s vision to evolve from a conventional sales company to a market orientated “value creation” company, Magnus’ role involves the continued expansion of fully integrated solutions in the B2B market.

Originally from Scotland, Magnus completed his education at Dundee University and moved to Canada with his family in 1989. 

Outside of the office, Magnus volunteers his time as a soccer coach, and has a passion for golf and cooking.
