About Philip
Philip is President of Panasonic’s Quickservice Technologies division. Prior to Panasonic’s acquisition of Quickservice Technologies in 2015, Philip was appointed President of Quickservice in May 2010 and Chief Executive Officer in October 2010. Since becoming President, Philip’s focus has been on strategic initiatives to increase the Company’s software offerings and diversify geographically, while exceeding the expectations of existing customers.
Philip originally joined Quickservice in 2003 as Chief Operating Officer and was elected to the Board of Directors in the same year. In that role, he focused on operations and disciplined, managed growth. Philip consistently championed customer service initiatives to improve the customer experience and extend and expand the Quickservice direct infrastructure across Canada and into the United States.
Philip began his career in 1990 at Forewest Industries in Calgary, Alberta, where he worked in oil and gas technology, specifically for horizontal drilling applications. In 1993, he moved to Pitney Bowes in Toronto in a management role and travelled across Canada and into the United States. In 1997, Philip joined FedEx Canada and was responsible for business planning and pricing initiatives. After three years at FedEx, Philip moved over to a software company, where he was one of the founders of a small start-up: AutoBranch Technologies. AutoBranch focused on development of ATM software applications and built intellectual property for automated banking machines.
Born in Surrey, England in 1969, Philip attended the University of Calgary where he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1990, and attended the University of Toronto where he received a Master of Business Administration in 1993. He and his wife live in Burlington, Ontario and have two children.
