About Rob
Rob Masson joined the organization in 2005 as Panasonic's chief legal and compliance officer in Canada providing counsel on Canadian issues for Panasonic entities worldwide.
With an ability to tackle complex issues and make legislation and government regulation easier for businesses to understand and adhere to, Rob plays an important role on the executive team with his niche background and knowledge on legal and business issues in the consumer and B2B space.
In his role, Rob provides sound business legal advice, and seeks creative ways to minimize regulatory risks to allow Panasonic to operate more efficiently. While creating and enforcing compliance rules to help cope with an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, he also creates customized training programs to address emerging legal challenges that Panasonic faces.
Rob has a long history of providing professional and legal counsel to various companies in the food, security and human resources sectors, and was previously a Vice-President of General Counsel and Corporate Security at a large security company and other global enterprises.
With a passion for being outdoors, Rob enjoys spending his free time sailing, swimming and skiing. As a contributing member of the community, he serves as a Director of the Port Credit unit of Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons, a charitable organization that is dedicated to boating safety and training.
