Local Environmental Contribution Activities
("Panasonic Eco Relay for Sustainable Earth")

Panasonic Group has implemented various region-based environmental activities designed by its employees themselves, involving local residents, children, and employees' family.
It is named "Panasonic Eco Relay for Sustainable Earth", with the thoughts of "linking beyond generations". We are aiming at contributing to building sustainable earth and society.
Our Company is also participating in this activity as a member of Panasonic Group. Each and every employee around the world is implementing environmental activities as a global citizen, and is trying to contribute to regional environment.
Here are examples of such activities.
Tokushima site (Tokushima, Japan)
On April 27, 2021, we implemented clean-up activities around the plant. And then, as a cleanup activity of the local community, local cleanup activities are implemented.

Sumoto site (Hyogo, Japan)
On June 25, 2021, we implemented clean-up activities around the plant. And then, as a cleanup activity of the local community, we clean the Sumoto River with local people regularly every year.

Panasonic Energy Nandan Co., Ltd. (Hyogo, Japan)
Cleanup activities around the factory are implemented once a year.

Panasonic Energy Higashiura Co., Ltd. (Hyogo, Japan)
Once a year, cleanup activities at the Urakenmin Sun Beach are implemented with local commerce and industry associations, staffs of the city and school etc.

Panasonic Energy Co., Ltd. (Thailand)
For three days of April 2, 19, and 23, 2019, activities to collect hazardous waste found in employees’ residences (used fluorescent lamps, spray cans, used dry batteries, etc.) in exchange of plants for planting were performed.
On June 1, 2019, 475 employees participated in hands on learning by mangrove planting.
On July 21, they participated in cleaning activities of Samrong Canal to make a local contribution and interchange.


Panasonic Carbon India Co., Ltd. (India)
On June 27, 2019, a session was held with community residents under the theme of "Say No to Plastic (non-use of plastic bags)."
Furthermore, about 150 people comprising community residents and employees participated in a parade to promote the awareness campaign on the theme in the community.


Suminoe site (Osaka, Japan)
On October 14, 2021, we conducted clean-up activities around the plant.
As a local cleanup activity, we regularly clean the area around the plant.

Wakayama site (Wakayama, Japan)
On April 15, 2011, we concluded the Corporate Forest Agreement and launched activities as the “Egao-no-Mori Kinokawa (Smile Forest Kinokawa)". In the last 10 years, the saplings have grown into splendid trees that look like forests.
(The project was completed in April 2021 and the land was returned.)
