Energy saving case examples
Our Company promote following activities on global basis, reducing CO2 emissions.
- Installation of PV power generation system
- By Installation and optimization of operating high-efficiency typed chillers, air-conditioners, vacuum pumps, and compressors,
and control for compressors, clean rooms and dry rooms to conserve energy - Investigating the losses of operation and optimization production, air compressors, and lightings by visualization of energy consumption, and measuring to protect air leakage
- Improvement in productivity of facilities and yield ratio
- Sharing with promotion energy saving case examples by holding energy saving network event at overseas and improve the skills of energy saving promotion members
Through these activities, we are promoting energy conservation.
We make efforts for daily energy saving activities, as well as promotes continual improvement toward more efficient energy use in the future.
Five Sites of Four Countries in Panasonic Energy Co., Ltd. Realizes “Zero CO2 Factory*”
Our company is promoting the creation of zero-CO2 Factory* to realize Panasonic GREEN IMPACT. In addition to Panasonic do Brasil Limitada and Panasonic Centroamericana S.A. in Central and South America and Panasonic Energy Wuxi Co., Ltd. in China, which already have achieved zero-CO2 Factory, Sanyo Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. In China and Panasonic Energy (Thailand) Co., Ltd achieved zero-CO2 Factory in fiscal 2021. Panasonic Energy (Thailand) Co., Ltd., which mainly manufactures alkaline and manganese dry batteries, has achieved our group's first "zero CO2 plant" in Southeast Asia by strengthening energy saving activities, installing solar power generation and procuring environmental value certificates.
- zero-CO2 Factory*: Factories that reduce CO2 emissions from manufacturing to virtually 0 by promoting energy saving activities, promoting the use of renewable energy, and procuring electricity and environmental values derived from 100% renewable energy.
