Japanese Chazuke

With rice over tea topped with condiments of your choice, this is a simple, fast and healthy Japanese staple that's perfect for quick lunch or supper.


Ingredients

- 3 cupsJapanese Rice, washed
- 3 cupsWater
Tea
- 4 SachetJapanese Green Tea
- 800 mlHot Water
- 150 gSpinach, blanced
- 4 pcsSalmon (100g)
- 4 tbspJapanese Rice Cracker
- 4 tspFurikake
- 4 tspSpring Onion
Method
STEP 1
Place Japanese rice in rice cooker. Select -> WHITE RICE -> SHORT GRAIN -> START.
STEP 2
Scoop rice on bowl, arrange spinach, salmon, Japanese pickled plum, Japanese rice cracker and garnish with furikake and spring onion.
STEP 3
Serve with green tea on the side.
To Steam Salmon
Method
STEP 1
Remove salmon from fridge and let it sit in ambient for 30min.
STEP 2
Season salmon with salt and pepper, place on lined tray and put into cubie oven on middle position. Select -> STEAM MED -> Set time at 8 mins -> START.
STEP 3
When done remove from oven and flake it in the bowl, set aside.
