Rose Red Bean Paste
This wholesome red bean paste is made from scratch using naturally ingredients. Rich in plant-based protein, fibre, and essential minerals like iron and magnesium, this paste offers a nutritious alternative to overly processed fillings. Free from artificial additives and preservatives, it's perfect for healthy desserts, breakfast spreads, or as a naturally sweet boost in your favourite recipes.

- 400 gDried red beans, soaked and drained
- 815 mlWater
- 250 mlVegetable oil
- 190 gRock sugar or to taste
- 2 dropsRose extract (optional) / 5g Dried orange peel (optional)
Steps
1) Place red beans and water into Panasonic Pressure Cooker, select BEANS> START.
2) Once done, transfer the cooked beans and liquid into a food processor to puree.
3) Heat up ¼ cup oil in Panasonic Pressure Cooker, select HOT POT> START, add in the red bean puree and sugar. Stir occasionally to avoid burning.
4) During the cooking process, add the remaining oil in three portions, ensuring the oil is well absorbed before adding more. In the same step, you can adjust the sugar to taste too.
5) The paste is done once it can hold its shape and comes out clean from rubber spatula.
Chef tips:
1. For rose flavour, add the rose extract add in step 4.
2. For orange flavour, add the dried orange peel in step 1.
3. The red bean paste is suitable use in daifuku, cheesecake and varies pastries and desserts.
