Lobak

Healthy Point

Lobak is basically five spice meats roll that are made with chopped vegetables and minced meat seasoned with five spice powder. Variations come in the form of add-ons like mushrooms, jicama and sometimes even shrimps.

Ingredients

Lobak

  • 275 gMinced chicken
  • 1 tbspLee kum Kee Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tspLee Kum Kee Sesame Oil
  • 35 gWater chestnut, diced
  • 20 gCarrot, diced
  • ¼ tsp White pepper
  • 1 tspFive spice powder
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbspCornflour
  • ½ Egg yolk
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 2 pcsBean curd sheet (9x10 inch)

Condiments

  • 1 Small cucumber, cut into slices
  • 25 mlChilli sauce

Method

STEP 1

Combine all ingredients and set aside to marinate for an hour in the refrigerator.

STEP 2

Lay out a bean curd sheet and spoon 1/4 of the chicken mixture onto the sheet and roll up firmly.

STEP 3

Repeat the same for the other roll.

STEP 4

Arrange the lobak on a Panasonic Cubie oven tray.

STEP 5

Preheat Panasonic Cubie oven on Healthy Fry mode.

STEP 6

Cook the lobak for 20 minutes.

STEP 7

Once done, cut them into pieces and serve with cucumber slices and chilli on the side.
