Vegan Mushroom Patties
The secret to this delicious juicy meat-free patty is the specially selected combination of ingredients such as mushrooms and walnuts that add depth and flavour. The satisfying patties provide the ultimate guilt-free burger experience!
What to prepare
- 100 gWhite Button Mushroom
- 40 gDiced Onion
- 0.5clove Finely Diced Garlic
- 1 pinchDried Thyme
- 1 pinchPaprika Powder
- 20 gWalnut
- 50 gCooked Barley
- 40 gBoiled Kidney Beans or Black Beans (or mix both beans)
- 10 gPanko (Breadcrumbs)
- 0.5tbspWorcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbspNutritional Yeast
- Pepper (To taste)
1) Preheat a sauté pan over medium-low heat. Stirring occasionally, cook the onion and mushrooms at a medium heat until the liquid has been released from the mushrooms (around five minutes). Add the garlic, thyme, and smoked paprika to the pan, cook for two – three minutes more, and let it cool.
2) Transfer the mixture to the chopper bowl then add the walnuts, barley, kidney beans, black beans, panko, Worcestershire sauce, nutritional yeast, and finally the salt and pepper. Fit the chopper bowl onto the base.
3) Blend at Pulse 2 or Speed 2 until thoroughly mixed.
4) Shape mixture into two patties.
5) Heat the frying pan on medium heat, then add a tablespoon of oil. Fry the patties for two or three minutes each side or until nicely browned.
