Banana Bread

- 100 gButter
- 175 gCaster sugar
- 2Egg
- 200 gSelf-raising flour (sifted)
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 200 gRipe banana
- 85 gNatural yoghurt
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 125 gSultana
- 100 gWalnut
- 55 gPoppy seed
Steps
STEP 1
In a bowl, cream together the butter and the sugar until it is light and fluffy, add the beaten eggs, then the flour and baking powder a little at a time until it is all incorporated.
STEP 2
Mash the bananas until smooth and stir into the mixture with the yogurt. Add the nutmeg, sultanas, and the roasted nuts and poppy seeds and mix until smooth.
STEP 3
Spoon the mixture into the lined bread pan and select menu 13 for 1 hr. Test the bread after about 45 mins by pressing the top gently, if it springs back it is cooked. If not then it will need longer.
